Strategy and Structure
Number of discussions – re cessation of funding for current post. Funds not sufficient to sustain post as is.
- JO/MJ need to write and thank present incumbent for all their hard work
- Festivals can only be booked when we know when the JDCs are
- Administrator post is still vital to the strategy – this would be roughly 1 hour per week
Schools and Clubs have not yet been formally told of future strategy. Still need to meet with schools (Boys and Girls) to discuss next season’s calendar and plans for JDCs.
- Urgent meeting to be planned before Schools AGMs – MJ to set up meeting on Tuesday 22nd April
Still awaiting information on community sports coach grant. / JO

- Apart from the three cards in one game only one club has a player appearing more than once in this season’s list. Note that for one player it was a second card within twelve months and the penalty for the second offence was doubled as a result.
- Thanks to Sam Tallowin, Deputy CDA, for dealing with the red card offence during my absence in early March and for his help and advice during the season.

Report for DHA Committee Meeting 26th March 2008
- Devon sides winning their Divisions this season:-

South East 2 / Exeter Univ. E / S. East District 2 / Dawlish A
- Well done to ExeterUniv. 1st XI who head the English Hockey National League South by 4 points with two games still to play.
- Rule changes to be considered for next season
- The fielding of under strength teams
- The doubling up of goalkeepers
- Plans afoot to completely redesign the league website with possibility of payments being accepted online.
- Committee yet to make a ruling on league match use of the 3G pitch at Ashmoor awaiting some info from England Hockey on the Ashmoor pitch.
- South Area meeting scheduled for Monday 21st April.

Senior Women s 1st XI Squad Report
There were no entries fro. Clubs following the E sail which Michelle sent after the last meeting, I contacted all known players from last season and this seasons U. 19 XI — a total of 32 players. At present, there are 10 players - who are available and we are hopeful of getting the remainingones. There are 3 players who would be available but they are taking part in The Ten Tors event on the Championship weekend.
A Training Session has been arranged for Sunday, 20th April at St. Lukes College in Harts lane, Exeter and the pitch is booked fro. 2. to 3.30 pm.
England Hockey have amended the Pool arrangements for the Championship Games and our Preliminary matches are to be played in Oxford on 10th & 11th May.
U.21 XI Squad Report
England Hockey have asked all Counties if there is any interest in having a
Womens U.21 Tournament again. We hare replied that we could possibly raise a
team. — so watch this spacel
