CLASS SPECIFICATION TITLE: ASSISTANT LIQUOR STORE MANAGER

IBEW GRADE / FLSA STATUS:
8 / Non-Exempt
TYPICAL CLASS ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
1. / Serves as a lead to Sales Clerks, which includes:supervision, assisting with scheduling work, helps assigning duties or tasks & coordinating work assignments, and performing other related duties.
2. / Plans, organizes, and delegates limited storekeeping activities; provides technical guidance and expertise regarding storekeeping activities.
3. / Receives, unpacks, counts, and inspects equipment and materials to ensure accurate quantity of received materials; loads and unloads supplies and equipment from trucks; marks materials with stock numbers and places in proper storage areas; completes receiving reports for items delivered to the store, utilizing established procedures.
4. / Enters a variety of information related to goods received into applicable database and/or spreadsheet.
5. / Procures inventory and facility supplies on a daily basis by contacting vendors and determing delivery terms.
6. / Orders and maintains inventory; verifies delivery; and prepares payment.

8. / Promotes Liquor sales principles & procedures with staff;
Have extensive product knowledge to interact with customers to answer questions, upsell products and help develop part-time staff;

10. / Cleans, sweeps, and ensures the safety of the store.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Training and Experience (positions in this class typically require):
High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least three years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

Incumbents may be subjected to dusts, poor ventilation, inadequate lighting, work space restrictions, and intense noises.
Very Heavy Work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
