Position Summary

Supports and directs the Tradeshow strategy company wide. Supports, directs, and promotes large scale sales events for the company. Assists the Regional Marketing Managers with event related items including Grand Openings, Teacher Appreciation Days, Customer Appreciation Days, Celebration Sales, and Piano Workshops. Handles the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly marketing budget reporting, tracking, and forecasting. Maintains and directs the tradeshow and meetings budget, and the Co-Op budget as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to

execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management.

·  Execute and oversee the convention strategy including the following for approximately 40 shows a year:

o  Logistics planning.

o  Providing marketing support.

o  Working with the Merchandising, Distribution, and Inventory Control team as needed.

o  Generating ideas to increase foot traffic and sales at the booth.

o  Coordinating repair clinics with the repair team.

o  Working with the Regional Marketing Managers to ensure brand consistency and promotion through all channels including trade shows.

o  Handling all parts of the large display booth, including shipping, refurbishment, and tracking.

o  Implementing changes as upper management decides overall direction.

o  Reporting all analysis to upper management.

·  Supporting Regional Marketing Managers and senior management in an event capacity.

·  Maintain, track, and provide support for department initiatives as it relates to the marketing budget, and reporting standings on a quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.

·  Track UPS shipments, checks sent, and gift card allocations.

·  Assist with the organization and tracking of items stored in the marketing storage area (onsite and offsite).

·  Assist in proofing process of creative projects as needed.

·  Work with vendors and outside agencies to provide sales generating events which will add value to the brand and store locations.

·  Generate new methods and ideas for event strategy and find ways to implement those in cost effective ways.

Education and Experience

·  At least 2 – 4 years of tradeshow management experience a plus, retail event experience a plus.

·  Bachelor’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field ideal.

·  Strong financial understanding of budgets, forecasting, ROI, P&L’s and cost analysis required.

·  Strong branding or marketing eye.

·  Strong project management, logistical, and analytical skills.

·  Interest in music and experience working in music industry a plus.
