2. Review and approve final meeting for 2015-2016, May, 2016 minutes:

Ms. Priester moves to approve, Ms. Hadley seconds.

1. Principal Update

• Congratulations to Ms. Alveranga as a K-8 Literacy Coach at A.C. Perry K-8 Learning Center.
• Our Computer Science position will be advertised or replaced from within our staff.
• Enrollment is good, have met class size and beyond, and does not appear to have budget cuts.
• Pembroke Pines Police requests that cars do not line up, causing intersection to be blocked, 1:40 P.M., otherwise, parents will be ticketed. We do not have any control when and why however, we have voiced our concern for parents.
• Early July school grades indicate we fell 41 to 37, giving us a D school grade. We have identified the gaps and are confidant these gaps will be closed.Our 3rd grade student scores did show an A grade. Our gaps were 4th-5th grade. We are increasing student progress, and increasing checks and data review.
• Parent asked: Did starting our clubs later influence this? No, our clubs did not influence as much as the six hours of standards based instruction daily did (Mrs. Sasse).

Ms.Cevallos will be our official SAC person replacing Mrs. Alveranga.

Ms. Soto first moves to approve nominations, Ms. Hadley seconds.

1. Review and Approve SAC Bylaws

Introduced SAC meeting packet handout with more detailed information.

Ms. Dixon first motion to approve by-laws, Ms. Robinson Seconds.

1. Development and Approval of School Improvement Plan

Goals for the school year were discussed with parents and the plan of rolling out to the teachers. Ms. Valdes first motion to approve the 2016-2017 SIP goal, Ms. Sotto seconds.
