The event will be held on November 29 at the Patrick Henry and Shrine Hill Fields. Anyone interested in participating, volunteering or contributing to the festival should contact Mr. Moore at .

Patti Sheedy, Athletic Director, handed out the winter sports schedule. She noted that the basketball scrimmage on November 21 against North Cross was a benefit game and $5 admission would be charged. Wrestling may have one or two more events added to the schedule. Football will play at Colonial Forge on Friday for their playoff game. Sophia Parras Nielsen was a state competitor for cross country. Volleyball lost their second round conference game to Cosby to end their season. The first day of winter sport practices was November 10 for all sports except for Indoor Track which will begin November 18

Lori Privott, Treasurer, handed out Financial Reports : PHABA Balance Sheet Summary as of October 31, 2014, PHABA Profit and Loss Comparison for July-October 2014 and Team Balance sheets as of October 31, 2014. Balances are up to date with the exception of two teams. A detailed report for any team can be obtained by contacting Mrs. Privott. Fall concessions income has not been added. Mr. Baldridge is in the process of sending a letter to coaches outlining the allocations process to be followed.

Stewart Barnes, Fundraising, reported that he needs help taking signs down at the stadium. He is now working on signs for the gymnasium.

Sandra Kuehn and Stacey Ripple reported for Concessions and Volunteers. Four games have been added to last month’s winter concessions schedule. Please let Mrs. Ripple know if you would like to take one of those events for your team. Mrs. Kuehn reported on a burglary at the visitor side of the stadium concession area. A gate and door had been left open and drinks, candy, and chips were stolen. There is a current issue with difficulty in locking the outside gate which likely contributed to the break-in. The use of security cameras is being considered. Mrs. Kuehn will be scheduling a workday to move items to the indoor concessions area and to clean the outdoor areas.

Trudy Brailsford, Community/Secretary reported that the Veterans recognition at the Fleming football game went well and that approximately thirty veterans were recognized on the field at halftime. She thanked the band for their help in orchestrating the event. A winter sports kickoff will be held on November 24 in the cafeteria. Currently, the kickoff events are being held instead of season end banquets. Laura Stockstill brought up that it would be nice to still have seniors honor their special teacher at an event during the year. Mrs. Brailsford will look into having the academic conference teams and the senior teacher recognition taking place during halftimes at two home basketball games. Mrs. Brailsford reported on three Executive Committee motions made online since the October meeting: October 16, 2014 – Stacey Ripple made a motion that the General Fund pay for half of the repair costs of the baseball groomer not to exceed $200. The motion was seconded by Troy Rech and passed through Executive Committee online vote. October 23, 2014 - Sandra Kuehn made a motion that the General Fund pay for one half of the $572 for golf bags for the golf team. The motion was seconded by Troy Rech and passed through Executive Committee online vote. October 24, 2013 -Troy Rech made a motion to renew the current PH Boosters.org hosting and support contract with LeagueAthletics.com for one year at a cost of $450. Motion seconded by Sandra Kuehn and passed through Executive committee online vote. A list of motions made from August 2013 to present will be kept on record. Please let Mrs. Brailsford know if you need any information on any past motions.

Duke Baldridge, Allocations, led discussion on the swim team diving costs to train in Christiansburg. RCPS has agreed to pay half the costs of the training which is $350 per diver. There was discussion that the diving instruction and practice could only take place in Christiansburg with an outside coach. Mr. Baldridge made a motion that the General Fund pay one fourth the cost and the swim team pay one fourth the cost of the $350 per diver as long as the diver finishes the program. Bill Mason seconded the motion and the motion passed. Mr. Baldridge made a motion to reimburse the football account for one third ($1,035) for football helmets purchased in 2013. Sandra Kuehn seconded the motion and the motion passed.

New Business: Mr. Baldridge reported that he, Mrs. Brailsford and Mr. Barnes met and revised the bylaws for the PHABA. The revised bylaws will be emailed to all team representatives for review and the new bylaws will be voted upon at the December meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 7:40 PM.
