Our roadshow is for financial businesses who are covered by the ombudsman servicebut who usually have little or no direct contact with us.

about the day

We’ll keep talking ‘at’ you to a bare minimum. After a brief introduction our time will be spent in small discussion groups and working through case studies.

We want you to have the opportunity to raise the issues that most concern you about the ombudsman service. So please use the booking form to tell us what you’d most like hear about. We can’t cover everything – but we’ll try to give you an answer on the day.

the aim

The aim is to clarify the role of the ombudsman service – and explain how we deal with complaints. You’ll leave with a good understanding of:

  • our role
  • how we go about our work
  • what we need from you – and what you can expect of us
  • how we decide the outcome of complaints
  • the support we can give you with your own in-house complaint handling

timing

We’re running two half-day sessions – each lasting three hours.

In the morningyou can register from 8.30am. Then we’ll start promptly at 9am and finish at 12pm.

In the afternoonyou can register from 1.30pm. Then we’ll start promptly at 2pm and finish at 5pm.

These events are free – so please book early using the accompanying form.

We’ve space for up to 40 people at each session. We allocate places so that as many individual businesses as possible can send someone – so we can’t usually offer multiple places to any single business.
