Overview

T

his appropriation represents grants from the Commonwealth's general fund to nonstate groups and organizations for historic, cultural, and artistic purposes, based on criteria established by the Governor and the General Assembly. It also includes grants for historic entities to be administered by the Department of Historic Resources under applicable sections of the Code of Virginia. A local contribution, based on policies established by the administering agency, must match state appropriations.
