Recent Innovations that have influenced practice:
Optical Coherence Tomography: Recent advances in image quality and imaging analysis software allow detailed analysis of optic nerve abnormalities and longitudinal follow-up.
Cancer therapy: New innovative treatment strategies, such as proton beam therapy, have significantly increased individual survival rates and lead to more patients presenting with complex neuroophthalmologic complications of their cancer of treatment side-effects.
