2014 Tournament Information:
The 40thAnnual Johnny Lopez Knights of Columbus State of Texas Open Golf Championship is being hosted by the Texas State Council and the Bastrop Knights of Columbus Council #14943. The tournament will be held the weekend of September 19, 20 & 21, 2014 at two different golf courses. One being,Pine Forest Golf Club and ColoVista Golf Club, the Pine Forest Golf Club we did play back in 2008 the last time the tournament was in Bastrop, Texas.
Pine Forest Golf Club will host the Friday scramble tournament, which has a 1:00pm shotgun start. The Saturday and Sunday individual tournament play will be played at both the Pine Forest Golf Club and the ColoVista Golf Club, with an 8:00 Am., shotgun start both mornings.

Knights of Columbus International Golf Tournament
Did you know the Knights of Columbus also host an International Golf Tournament every year? This past June this tournament was held in Sealy, Texas by Council #3313. If you didn’t make that tournament you missed a really good one.
This tournament travels from State to State every year. The 2014 tournament is scheduled to be played in Tucson, AZ, in June 2014. Just like our tournament you do not have to sign up as a team, you can sign up as an individual. Please note unlike our tournament where you can pick you riding partner in their tournament they do all of the pairings and will assign you to a foursome. The tournament is flighted and you are matched up with only golfers with handicaps equivalent to yours. If you would like more information on this tournament contact me and I will forward what information I have.
