Dear Steam Enthusiast,
OAKLEIGH FAIRS’ 2018 EVENTS
We are pleased to bring you our 2018 programme and feel that it offers a wonderful range of geography, splendour and pullability for you to be involved in.
We have a number of events where we can have a decent representation of steam both full size and scale (highlighted in bold on the next page) and a number where we would like only 1 or 2 scale engines (in italics).
Most of the events are established events but we do always add a coupe of new ones, drop others and move some around. Apologies if this affects you!
At each show we will provide water and an area for camping. You provide your coal.
Expenses will be as follows for Steaming Up:
£125 per day per full size engine
£50 per day for scale engines
We hope you find this acceptable and will of course pay participants in cash at the event. If we exceed our budget you may be able to attend without receiving a fee. Engines will be able to arrive the day before the show and it may be possible to stay until the day after - check with the office!
