Annual Progress Report for PostgraduateResearch Students

Form A: For Completion by Postgraduate Research Student

Form Guidance and Processes: Please complete this Annual Progress Report (Form A) and arrange a ‘progress review meeting’ with your supervisors to discuss your report. You should focus on your research programme to date and discuss any training requirements. Your Supervisors will also complete the Supervisors’ Annual Progress Report (Form B) in discussion with you.

After the meeting, both forms will be forwarded to your Department’s Director of Postgraduate Research (or Dean’s nominee) for consideration via the PGR Departmental Administrator. The completed signed off versions of both forms will be entered into your student record by Student Registry Services (SRS) (Research) team.

It is a requirement for your University registration that we have an Annual Report for each year of study up until you have formally submitted your thesis. Completed Annual Reports must be with the Research Administration Team in Student Registry Services by Friday 29th August 2014. Both forms are also online:

Please note: the University requires that full-time students normally receive a minimum of six supervisory meetings per academic year. Part-time students normally receive a minimum of four supervisory meetings per academic year. One of the supervisory team meetings should be considered the ‘annual progress review meeting’ and the focus should be on completing the Annual Progress Report (Part A and B)
