PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • All application forms must be submitted fully completed and inclusive of all the requested documentation by 4.00pm on Wednesday, 10th August, 2016. Allincomplete applications will be deemedinvalid after the closing date and will not be included in the competition.
  • Applications will only be accepted by post or by hand.
  • Candidates who send their applications by post should allow sufficient time to ensure delivery not later than the latest time for acceptance. The responsibility rests with the applicant to ensure the application form, in full, is received on time by the Human Resource Department of Mayo County Council. Any applications received after the closing date and time will not be included in the competition.
  • All Sections/Questions in this document must be completed in full (a Curriculum Vitae in lieu of an Application Form will not be accepted). In order to ensure that each candidate is treated fairly and equally the Interview Board will only be provided with candidates application forms.
  • Once the applicationformis submitted to the Human Resource Department of Mayo County Council,candidates are not permitted to alter/make additions or make deletions to their application in any way.
  • All valid candidates will be required to undertake a series of selection tests and only successful candidates in this element will be invited to interview. Details of such tests are contained in the candidate information sheet appended to this application form.
  • It is the candidate’s responsibility to inform the Human Resource Department of Mayo County Council of any change of address.
  • Before signing this form please ensure that you have replied fully to the questions asked. You should satisfy yourself that you are eligible under the regulations. The Council cannot undertake to investigate the eligibility of candidates in advance of the interview/examination and hence persons who are ineligible but nevertheless enter may thus put themselves to unnecessary expense. Mayo County Council will not be responsible for any expenses which may be incurred by the candidate in attendance for interview.
  • You are required to return the completed and signed original application form along with 3photocopies of same in hard copy format.If original and 3 copies of the completed form are not received by the Human Resources Department the application will be deemed invalid and excluded from the competition.
