ImagiNation Reading and Arts Project / 11-16 / Hertfordshire Libraries are inviting 11-16 year olds to get creative with their reading this summer by taking part in ‘ImagiNation’, a FREE reading and arts project that has been designed with the help of young people. To take part, young people need to borrow four library books, and ask staff for an ImagiNation log. To complete ImagiNation, you need to record what you thought of two of the books and produce a piece of art work inspired by one of them. The artwork could be a drawing, collage, film, painting, photograph, sculpture, model, design, poem, dance, play, piece of music or MORE! Once the log is completed, return to the library to show us your work and to collect a certificate. Artwork can also be uploaded to the secure and moderated ImagiNation blog
Young People’s Training Opportunity / 13-25 / Courses are being held across the summer on various dates and courses include Dance leadership level 1, Teamwork and Group work Level 1 and Dance leadership level 2.All courses are FREE for young people to attend. The young person will have to commit to 5-10 hours of volunteering to complete the qualification and receive a certificate. The young person will achieve a qualification that will enhance their CV.
