TERMS and CONDITIONS for HIRING ROOMS at THE BONNINGTON CENTRE
1. The person named in the application shall be the Hirer and shall be personally responsible for ensuring
that these conditions are complied with in all respects.
2. Where applicable, the management committee of the organisation referred to in the hiring application, shall be jointly and severally liable with the Hirer for complying with this agreement.
3. The premises to be hired are part of the Bonnington Centre Community Association (BCCA) and consist of top room, middle room, small room, kitchenette, toilet and entrance hall. Tables, chairs, fridge and tea / coffee facilities are provided by the BCCA.
4. THE HIRER AGREES:
a) To pay the full hire charge not less than two weeks before the date of hiring.
b) To ensure that he or she or some other person authorised in writing (as specified in the Agreement Form) by him or her is present throughout the period of hire.
c) To ensure that the responsible person leaves the premises at the end of the period of hire after having turned off heating, closed windows, left room/s in good order and removed all personal belongings.
d) To ensure that the premises are not used for any purpose other than that stated in the hiring
application.
e) To ensure that members of the committee or staff of the BCCA are allowed access to the premises at all times during the period of hire.
f) To accept full responsibility for and to indemnify the BCCA against all costs, charges and claims in respect of injury to any per:on using the premises except such as may be caused by the negligence of the BCCA or its staff or agents.
g) To compensate the BCCA for any damage caused during the period of hire or as a result of any breach of this agreement to the building or to any apparatus, chattels or appliances belonging to the BCCA or its staff..
h) To compensate the BCCA or any member of its staff should any theft occur of any items during the period of hire or as a result of a breach of this agreement.
i) To ensure that the fire apparatus on the premises is not moved or interfered with except in the case of a fire emergency.
j) To ensure that at no time during the period of hire is any emergency exit from the premises locked or
obstructed.
k) To ensure that all persons using the premises are aware of the site of fire appliances and emergency
exits.
l) To take all proper precautions for the prevention of accidents to any persons on the premises during the period of hire.
m) To allow no more than 100 people to attend the premises at any one time.
