Readings from Isaiah 12

Leader: In that day which is to come, this is what you will say:

All: I will give thanks to you, O Lord, because even though you were angry with us, your anger has subsided; you are now a comfort to us. Surely God is our salvation; we will trust in you and not be afraid, for the Lord is our strength and our might. He has indeed become our salvation!

Leader: With great joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation, and this is what you will say to the Lord:

Men: Give thanks to the Lord!

Women: Call on his name!

Men: Make known his deeds among the nations!

Women: Proclaim to everyone that his name is to be exalted!

Leader: Sing praises to the Lord for he has done glorious things. Let everybody on the earth know about this.

All: Shout aloud and sing for joy for great in your midst is the Holy One.
