Q30 / Administrative systems- The Breakfast Club reports are confusing. It shows the whole year. Once you pay, it should show only new things
- I think this is good enough
- I feel that the administrative systems work really well
- I feel that the administrative systems work really well
- They are for me
- It works well
- Yes, I get the information that is needed about my child
- I think this is good enough
- Seems to work well. I like using PayPay for school dinners
- I think this is good enough
- They are working fine, never had any problem
- Work well
- I feel administration systems work very well
- Emails and texts about children’s progress would be helpful. Occasionally letters get lost in between home and school so a text or email would ensure we receive any message
- They work well
- At lunchtime, you should let in school dinners first
- Website isn’t always up to date with calendar for events eg Christmas performances
- Academically the system works well. However, would like more transparency in management ie 6 monthly/annual parents’ meetings, open forum ??? of school (response #45)
- Works well
- Yes, text alerts if school closes eg snow etc
- Yes, everything works well. No improvements needed
- Consider Parentpay (?) implementation (Response #52)
- Things seem to work well at the moment
- It’s good

- Works well
- It’s OK for us

- Consider Parent Pay implementation
- Works really well
- It’s doing well
- Yes, work well, but in Reception teachers might need to check book bags for returned slips etc
- Yes, they do
- Daily payment for breakfast club on-line
- Administrative systems improved over last three years
- Happy with administrative systems
Q31 / Communication with parents
- I am happy
- Yes, happy now with how they communicate with parents
- I don’t really hear from school unless it’s parents’ evening or if there is a problem. They could do more
- Yes, I am happy
- Not happy. I would like more communication and more open days or evenings to see children’s work and tour the school. I also found the letters about the Christmas Show to be very unfriendly. I understand the hall is too small but I found the tone of the letters discouraged me from attending the show
- Happy
- Yes, happy. The website is fab. Maybe letters could be given a bit earlier
- More electronic communication would help
- Most of the time, yes
- Prefer things like school pays letters to be communicated by email so that return slips don’t get lost in book bags
- I am not sure what my child does week in week out. Eg sounds learnt that week. I know other schools upload phonics on a parents’ website, but this would be a lot of work
- Not happy – email or text would be preferential. It is better since the website is up and running. However, sometimes we do not know that letters have not reached us so we would not look at it
- We would like to be more informed about what my child does day to day, to be more involved, more opportunity to see them at work and play. More open days, longer at parents’ evenings. Be able to volunteer to go on trips, do reading at the school etc
- Letters need to be sent out further in advance of trips and events
- It can be hard to meet KS2 staff
- Email/text – happy with letters
- Yes, however, there are improvements required in communications, on website, social media accounts (official)
- Parents are always told last minute. A weekly letter would be helpful
- More advanced notice for events would be helpful to pay time off work. Otherwise communication is good
- Happy with that
- In general, yes
- Not always happy. There’s little feedback apart from two parent meetings
- Ys, we are happy
- Yes, great communication
- Yes, I am very happy with how the school communicates with parents
- No problems. Always very open and clear with regards to communication
- Maybe parents should know more often which subject we should practice at home with the children, such as a monthly report
- I am happy with the school’s communication with parents
- I would like saying that this is not enough. If we can get a chance to speak with the relevant teacher directly. For example, mobile number not through the office
- I would prefer electronic communication
- Very happy with the communication
- Prefer school plays and other letters to be done over email so that the return slips don’t get lost in book bags
- I am happy with school sending us letters. Text would be more convenient
- Very happy
- Sometimes not enough notice for working parents
- Yes. Parents evening slots could be a bit longer. But I think it is easy enough to speak to the teacher if needed
- Yes, I happy with the way of communication between parents and school
- Overall OK but could send letters earlier, so working parents can arrange appropriate leave/time off to attend school functions
- Email would be good for any important issues
- Most of the time, yes
- Communication with parents is well organised from school management
- Yes, newsletters are a great way to let parents know what’s going on in school

Individual comments:
- Everything is fine
- Everything is fine, good
- Everything is fine, good
- No problems at all but it’s good if there’s any information, particularly course related information, via email
- Texts, Facebook page, newsletter for news and updates on website
- Email or text – about specific information to the year or individual. School website – for general information
- Yes, class dojo?
- Electronic communication would help. For me the best option is mail or text alerts
- At our old school, they had a text service which was very useful. They reminded us forgetful parents or events etc
- Emails would be also a great solution (maybe cheaper?)
- I would prefer electronic communications and for me, I would go for email
- By handing letter to child
- Any way – apart from twittering!
- Letter is the perfect way to pass information. The interaction between parent and teacher should always be the student. Electronic way may sometimes not reach parent’s attention
- Thanks for ???? me and it would suit me best if they text me and if I can contact my child’s relevant teacher directly (Response #81)
- It would be great to have a school app as other schools use it
- Yes, school website and Facebook
- Electronic communication would be great as sometimes my child loses her letters. Email would suit best
- Text would suit us better
- Text or emails
- Not but if we had to – email
- Text would suit me best
- Yes – text/email communication
Q33 / Accessibility
- It can be difficult for working parents to attend daytime activities aimed at parents. It is beneficial to have a least a month’s notice to book time off work to attend important events
Q34 / NM
- Thanks a lot for all
- Finally, thanks for working hard to improve the school and showing us your suggestions and interest in our children’s life and education
- Good school. Really like the school and the atmosphere
- I feel that school uniform should be white polo shirts as easier to come by and look smart
- I suggest collection time for nursery and reception is 10 minutes before the other children
- I am happy about school and progress but if course information and syllabus was shared on line, that would be perfect
- The school is good and the staff are helpful and qualified
- We are very pleased with the school. It is very welcoming and friendly. The staff are all very approachable. Last year, in Nursery, the support we got when we had difficulties because my father passed away suddenly won’t be forgotten. They were wonderful and allowed Izzy to carry on as normally as possible. They gave her a strong base to carry into Reception and I am amazed by how quickly her reading and writing are progressing. The targets which we get given for maths, especially, aren’t challenging enough but I think she does more in class that we know about! I have been highly recommending the school to other parents who have children of nursery/reception age in September
- Mr Kilcoyne is an excellent Headmaster
- We think the staff work really hard and appreciate that the uniqueness of every child is valued and nurtured
- Parents’ evenings not enough to discuss child’s progress
- Fantastic school with brilliant staff! Our children seem very happy at the school
- I think this is a fantastic school with qualified staff and a lot of experience. They know how to implement tools really well
- Thanks to everyone
- Overall, fantastic people. It’s always good to bring my child
- My son has made great progress from nursery to the class he is in now. My child is keen to learn and I hope he is pushed to the ability that he can achieve his targets
- A good school, good teaching, lots of support, excellent show organisation, lots of effort put in by both pupils and staff. Thank you!
- Both my child and I love the school. The staff are friendly, approachable, and very helpful and supportive
- More after-school clubs please
- I think that the teachers should take the time to talk to the children and not at them and actually listen to what the children have to say
- I think children should be able to take flavoured water to school and take their own drinks on a packed lunch. I don’t think it’s fair that teachers can have a brew when teaching and children, if they don’t like water, have to go all day without a drink and not allowed flavoured water
- My children are very happy at Mauldeth Road and so do the other pupils seem to be very happy
- Head Teacher, Mr Kilcoyne, is a credit to the school. Mrs Maher also is very helpful (x2)
- Couldn’t be happier with everything this school does for my children. They always look forward to their next day in class
- Head Teacher and staff of school are very helpful
- School staff and Head Teacher are very helpful
- The school is good and the staff are helpful and qualified
- I cannot fault the staff, especially the teachers – they give 110%. But the facilities could be improved. The hall is too small. The library is inadequate and the outdoor play areas from infants and juniors are uninspiring and unstimulating. I also wish there were more clubs – after school or at lunchtime. One half-term a year is not enough
- More openness for management activities of school. Governors interaction with parents on a formal basis. Improvement in communications (website/social media). Annual parents’ forum/assembly
- Would be useful for all classes to have a small diary/homework book for children to complete + parents to add general comments to teachers
- More after-school clubs
- Fantastic school. Keep up the good work as it is appreciated
- The school pupils will benefit from a covered bike parking area
- Mauldeth Road is an excellent school where my child has developed well both socially and academically
- MauldethRoadPrimary School is great
- We appreciate enormously the quality of the school and the dedication of its management, teachers and administration
- Fantastic school, fantastic staff. We feel really lucky for both of our children to have places at Mauldeth Road. It never seems like anything is a problem, such a diverse, rich learning environment. Carry on the fantastic work. Thank you.
- Suggestions are never taken into account, no matter how they are made – official letters etc
- More openness for management activities of school. Governors interaction with parents on a formal basis. Improvement in communications (website/social media). Annual parents’ forum/assembly
- This is definitely a good school and I would recommend it to others
- We are impressed by the way the school is managed and its overall performance
- It would be helpful to have some afterschool or lunchtime Maths activities for Years 5 and 6. And if there are any, I don’t know
- MauldethRoadSchool is a good school and all the staff are helpful
- It makes me very uncomfortable knowing ‘foxes’ reside in very close distance to the school and that one fox actually very recently entered my child’s class. I feel as a parent more should be done as this can cause a potential risk. Appreciate taller green gates have been put in place recently. However, personally, I feel this is not enough. Happy to discuss further. (note: parent has met with school and has been offered suitable reassurance)
- School is good but could be better
