You do not need to be a member of Trailblazers in order to compete. All classes are open to everyone.

RULES OF QUALIFICATION.

TRAILBLAZERS.More information can be found at

1. Juniors riding ponies (148cm & under) must not have attained their

17th Birthday by the first day of the National Championship Show.Except Juniors entering the 65cm 12yrs & under class must nothave attained their 13th birthday by the first day of the NationalChampionship Show (in case of dispute, birth certificates may becalled for)

2. Junior riders may ride horses over 148cm in senior classes, on orafter their 13th birthday.

3. Ponies – NO currently registered JA’s will be permitted to competeat the finals.

4. Seniors Classes Open to horses over 148cm. Therefore equines of148cm are not eligible for this senior competition.

5. Seniors riding equines of 148cm & under are not eligible forqualification to the second rounds.

6. No currently registered Grade A or B horses may compete at thefinals. No other restriction on winnings in any class. Riders in thetop 150 BSJA (current ranking list) are not eligible.

7. JUMPING RULES TO APPLY e.g. 4 faults for a knockdown, 4 faultsfor 1st refusal, 8 faults for 2nd refusal, elimination for 3rd refusal. Fallof horse or rider to incur elimination. After a fall the rider mustleave the arena on foot.

8. Classes will be run under Table T2 - 2nd round against the clock.

9. Qualifications consist of a double clear in a height class & willentitle that rider / horse / pony combination to compete in anynumber of qualifying 2nd rounds at that height class.

10. In the event of a partnership ceasing, the qualification ceases.

11. Riders can qualify a horse or pony at any height but can onlyqualify a maximum of four equines for any one height.

12. Once a competitor has qualified they will be issued with acongratulatory letter telling them they have qualified. Thecompetitor will then have the choice to either take up thequalification or not. Should the competitor decide to accept thequalification for the second rounds, he / she will send thecongratulatory letter (within 14 days) together with a cheque for the appropriate fee, made payable to the centre of qualification &with TWO stamped addressed envelopes. One will be used toreturn a qualification card; the other will be used to send details ofthe second rounds.

13. Riders can only jump a pony / horse in two Championship classesat the National Championship Show.

14. Hors Concours competitors may elect to go again any number oftimes but first round of jumping will be the scoring round. Theymay then compete in the next class as normal.

For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonableprecautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and stewards.
