RESOLUTION NO. 9-07/08
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TAHOE TRUCKEE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 13-97/98 AND THE FACILITIES NEEDS OF FACILITIES IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.1 OF THE TAHOE TRUCKEE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OTHER ACTIONS
WHEREAS, on December10, 1997 the Board of Trustees (the “Board”) of the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (the “District”) conducted a public hearing in connection with the formation of a school facilities improvement district and further adopted Resolution No. 13-97/98 (the “Resolution of Formation”) ordering the formation of School Facilities Improvement District No.1 of the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (the “Improvement District”);
WHEREAS, in the Resolution of Formation the Board estimated the cost of the school facilities needs in the Improvement District to be $35,000,000 (the “Facilities”);
WHEREAS, the Board has determined it is necessary to amend the estimated cost of the Facilities to properly address the condition of the Facilities in the Improvement District;
WHEREAS, on December5, 2007, the District adopted its Resolution No. 5-07/08 amending the Resolution of Intention to increase the costs of the Facilities needed within the Improvement District and setting a public hearing on such increase;
WHEREAS, in connection with the hearing held on this day, the District has previously caused the publication and posting of the notice of hearing as required under Section 15321 of the Act; and
WHEREAS, on this date, the Board of Trustees of the District has held the hearing as required in Section 15322 of the Act and desires to adopt this resolution to cause the Resolution of Formation to be amended as stated below, all as provided in the Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TAHOE TRUCKEE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein as if fully set forth.
SECTION 2. The Board has determined that it is necessary to amend Resolution No. 13-97/98 to provide that the estimated cost of the Facilities needed in the Improvement District is $260,000,000. A description of the Facilities is set forth in ExhibitA hereto.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.

EXHIBIT A
DESCRIPTION OF THE FACILITIES
The facilities to be financed by the Improvement District include the acquisition of land, installation of infrastructure thereon, the construction, renovation or expansion of elementary, middle and high schools, and support facilities, the acquisition of various types of equipment and computer technology, and the modernization of existing schools, if any, throughout the Improvement District, and all architectural, engineering and related construction, planning and environmental expenses associated therewith.
