A maximum of ten (10) players may be listed. All players that are expected to play must be on the team sheet.

The duration of each match will be 2 x 12 minute halves for all age groups. There will be a half time break of a maximum of 3 minutes.

Please note the competition schedule is correct at the time of printing. The competition schedule can be changed at the discretion of the Competition Manager.

Number of Players Required:

A match is played by two teams, each consisting of not more than five players, one of whom is the goalkeeper. A team may nominate a maximum of five (5) substitutes.

A match may not start if either team consists of fewer than three players. The match is abandoned if one of the teams has fewer than three players on the pitch

Duration:

All games will consist of 2 x 12 minute equal periods with a 3 minute half time break.

Time may be added on during the game where stoppages for injuries and other wastage of time have occurred not related to the game.

Uniforms:

The Players uniforms shall consist of matching coloured shirts with numbers on the back, matching shorts and long socks. The goalkeeper must wear a different coloured shirt to the players of his or her team and the referee. The Goalkeeper is permitted to wear long pants. If there is to be a clash of colours, the team listed second in the fixture will be required to wear their alternate kit (or bibs).

·  SHIN GUARDS ARE COMPULSORY and must be covered by long socks

·  Footwear – non-marking soft leather training or gymnastic shoes.

·  No jewellery of any kind to be worn by players during the match.

·  Bibs must be worn by substitutes

Kick Off:

The ball is to be placed in the Centre Circle and played forward once the match official commences the game. The kicker must not play the ball a second time. All opposition players must be at least three (3 metres) away from the ball. A Goal Cannot Be Scored Directly From The Kick Off.

Kick In:

If the whole of the ball crosses the touchline or the ball hits the ceiling, a Kick-In is awarded to the opposing team. The kick in may be taken within 25cm of the point where the ball left the pitch. This may be on or behind the touch line. The kick in must be played within 4 seconds. The player taking the kick must have any part of his foot on or behind the touchline for the kick to be taken correctly or will be turned over to the opposing team. A Goal cannot be scored directly from a Kick In.

Corner Kick:

If the corner kick is taken incorrectly it is retaken. If the kicker takes longer than 4 seconds to take the corner kick, the referee will award a Goal Clearance.

Pass Backs to the Goalkeeper:

After the Goalkeeper has released the ball he/she cannot receive a deliberate back pass from his team mates unless the ball has been touch or played by an opponent. The ball crossing half-way does not allow the goalkeeper to touch it again. The Goalkeeper is only allowed to have possession of the ball for 4 seconds anywhere in his/her own half of the court.

Substitutions:

·  A Team can make unlimited substitutions during the game provided the players coming on do not enter the pitch before the player being substituted leaves the pitch first.

·  There is no need to wait for a stoppage in play to make a substitution.

·  A Goalkeeper can only be substituted at a stoppage in play, providing the Referees are notified and the replacement goalkeeper is already equipped with proper uniform, gloves etc.

Accumulated Fouls:

The Referee(s) records all Direct Free Kicks. Once a team accumulates 5 Fouls in each half, all other direct Fouls starting from the 6th foul in that half are penalised by a Penalty Kick to be taken from the 10 metre Penalty spot. They have an option of where the kick can be taken if the foul occurred in between the 10m penalty spot and the goal line. The Goal keeper can position him/herself anywhere in the Penalty area as long as he/she is observing the 5 metre distance.

Accumulated Fouls re start from scratch in the second period and continue in the extra time periods.

Games:

Teams will not play for points as the championships are for identification purposes for the State Futsal Teams. Therefore it is vitally important that each team provides a completed team sheet prior to the championships which will be distributed to FFSA State Coaches and Staff.

All players will be provided with a participation medal recognising their efforts, and those identified to participate in State Futsal Trials to be held in Adelaide later in the year will be informed post event by either phone or email.
