Selden, NY– Suffolk County Community College, the largest community college in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, will host a Career and Technology Fair on Friday, November 21, at its Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood. The event takes place from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Health, Sports and Education Center and is designed to showcase technical and career programs for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in seeking workforce preparation locally.

The event will bring in upwards of 1,000 Long Island students from more than 25 school districts reaching from Great Neck to Shelter Island. It will also include over 30 members of the HIA manufacturing and education committees, the Nassau and Suffolk Departments of Labor, representatives from LIFT (Long Island Forum for Technology), ADAPT (Aerospace and Defense Diversification Alliance in Peacetime Transition), and other industry officials. Long Island employers like GSE Dynamics and D’Addario & Company will also be on hand to discuss emerging job opportunities and internships.
