5. Proposal - Detail
Attach a separate document with responses to the following questions. There is no page limit; your responses should be both concise and sufficiently detailed. Please refer back to the discussion of the fellowship program’s objectives in the Call for Applications when preparing your responses.
  1. What will be the nature and scope of the Fellow’s activities within the academic institution, and resulting product?

  1. How will these activities contribute to The Law Foundation of Ontario’s statutory objects, vision and mission?

  1. How will the fellowship promote growth and development of the individual?

  1. How will the outcomes of the fellowship be brought back to the public interest organization?

  1. How will the academic host benefit from the fellowship?

  1. Who else may benefit and how?

  1. How will you know that the fellowship has been successful (i.e.what outcomes are anticipated)?

Please include the following items with your application:
  1. Candidate fellow’s resume or CV.

  1. Budget
Up to $50,000 in salary.
Attach an explanation of how the salary amount was calculated (normal salary of applicant Fellow x amount of time in residence as a Fellow).
Provide the contact name and address at public interest organization who will be responsible for administration of salary.
Up to $15,000may beawarded to each academic host for equipment and program-related expenses.
Academic host institution should provide a budget for up to $15,000 with intended uses as well as any in-kind contributions.

  1. At least one letter of support.

  1. List of names of the Board of Directors of the public interest organization

NOTE: Applicants are advised that, if awarded a Fellowship,The Law Foundation of Ontario will be requesting written interim and final reports from each Fellow, academic host, and public interest organization. Reporting guidelines will be provided prior to the start of each Fellowship.
