Hello and Happy New Year! I am so blessed to be a part of Mary Kay. “Capture the Vision” making our dreams a reality with the many benefits of the Mary Kay Opportunity is such a gift we each have, thanks to someone who shared with us. How many people do you know with no hope, no goals, and no vision? We are blessed indeed! Let’s recommit to what Mary Kay Ash discovered: Happiness is someone to love, something to do, and something to look forward to! With our “TWO” New Year’s to celebrate July is a time to begin anew. What are your new goals, hopes and dreams! Let’s share! Mary Kay Ash’s desire was that we create our world beautifully, using the tools from our Mary Kay Opportunity. Mary Kay Ash asked that we pass it on. You are Beautifully BOLD! You can do it! YES!

“Our Mary Kay” is as we see it. You know this, just as you know you “create” your dreams into reality, your goals into tangible rewards. By sharing the colors of our Mary Kay world with friends, family, and NEW FACES we have yet to meet… we share, we grow, and all benefit. I encourage you to share our amazing products with others. It really does help them look and feel more beautiful! As someone growing up with acne, I know we do change lives! I looked better, felt better because of Mary Kay skin care. Whether we color our world serene, or filled with exploding excitement & brightness, we change lives when we share.

Enclosed is a fun gift for you. You can “Adult Color” to your liking. It’s therapeutic! J And while you color – please envision in this way… “I know am creating the life I want. I know I will not fail in this endeavor because I will persist until I succeed. This is what I dream of……, this is my goal……., this is what I’m creating… …” And fill in the dots.

I appreciate how you share your Mary Kay! Thank you! I hope you know how much I love you! I’m so grateful for you in my life!

I never want to be a bother, or crowd your space. I’m so eager to RUN with people who want to RUN, learn, & grow! The women who are “running” with me – well we’re having SO much fun in this year! You have goals in your Mary Kay Opportunity to grow & BUILD! Our THEME for Mary Kay this year NEW FACES TAKE YOU PLACES! Oh the places you will go… when you will just simply share with NEW FACES! People you already KNOW that you have not facialed, not shared our new products with… will you please make a list & share?! Do it now! Mary Kay continues to do things that endear me (and my family) to the company via our AMAZING products, and to everything our company touches is enriched by Mary Kay! I know we’ve all been touched by someone we love who has suffered with cancer. Hello Everyone,

As many of you know, I had a mastectomy years ago, 22 yrs. to be exact. I thought I had beaten the “Big C” but it’s back!! I decided to send an email so everyone would be on the same page as to my diagnosis. Here goes:

My mammogram in April turned out normal but I did mention I had some pain in my left breast area and thought it was a strained muscle from playing golf with my grandson. Finally my regular doctor ordered a chest x-ray and a small amount of fluid was found around my left lung. The Pulmonary doctor ordered a CT scan since I had a history of breast cancer. On June 2nd…OMGosh!! The CT scan showed a large mass in my sternum. Then off to another doctor for a biopsy….cancerous as well as right lymph node. Then had ½ liter fluid taken from around lung and that, too, was cancerous. A Pet scan showedit hadn’tspread so that was encouraging. What I have is Stage 4 metastasized breast cancer in my sternum and around my lung. I know, it’s a bummer! I have opted NOT to have chemo or radiation or hormone drugs. I am going for alternative means and feel I am on the right treatment for me, still constantly researching and amazed at what I have learned.

I want you all to know that I actually feel great. No one would suspect this, including me, as I have more energy than ever even since I gave up sugar and caffeine and carbs and my wine and dairy, etc…..I know, what’s left to eat? Plenty! I would send a picture to my Facebook to prove it but I still don’t know how to do that…and still don’t like my Smart phone! Duh!!

Tom and his family and Stacey are 100% behind me in my decisions and although Stacey isinAustin TX, she is just a plane ride home and can be here whenever. Their positive attitude and support is amazing and I am so grateful.

My attitude is great and my faithiseven stronger. I have no fear and am positive going forward. None of us knows the day or hour that our Lord will take us to our real home so I have surrendered all to Him (“Jesus, I surrender myself to You; please take care of everything.”) My “Mary Kay people” know how much I tried to control everything so this has been a complete surrender!! I am really doing my part and continue to ask Our Blessed Mother, whom I have a great devotion to, to wrap me in her mantle of protection and guide me to the right treatments and to ask her Son to take this cancer out of me and heal me. He listens to His Mother (remember the Wedding at Cana?)

The biggest reason is a selfish one….I hate to burden you with this news but the most important part in my healing is PRAYERS!! Many of you are great prayer warriors and for my Catholic friends, Masses offered for me at your churches would be so appreciated and mega Rosaries prayed.….I know in my heart Mary will hear every single Hail Mary you say for my healing. And for all my Christian friends, praying to Jesus and the Holy Spirit will be so awesome….I believe I will feel the Holy Spirit.

I probably won’t be able to take a lot of phone calls because I go to Tampa at least 3 times a week for wonderful ‘near infrared’saunas …..and I don’t like to talk on the phone in the car, especially in Tampa traffic, and need to concentrate on healing, etc., even though I am feeling great as I write this. HOWEVER, feel free to email me and I will respond as much as I

I received a card from Sandi and when I opened the card, I cracked up…it said“HEY CANCER, you picked the wrong girl!" As the wise old saying goes, “Winners never quit, and quitters never win”. I am positive but am not stupid…I know this is the battle of my life and I am fighting the fight against the little “c”,and counting on you to storm Heaven with your prayers!Feel free to pass this on to whomever you want as I don’t have a lot of email addresses and hoping they will pray, too. I am so blessed to have so many people already praying for me and am blessed I have this time to get well.Don’t cross me off your Christmas Card list, ok?

I will also keep all of you in my prayers at my daily Masses and rosaries.

Love, Donna
