Crime Watch Report for September 1, 2011 through September 8, 2011

CASE # 11-3652 SUSPICIOUS EVENT On Friday, September 2, 2011, Deputy Sinclair responded to a residence on Raccoon Valley Road, near Tunnelton, in regards to suspicious activity. The victim reported a person outside of the home shining a flashlight into the home. A red truck was seen leaving the area.

CASE # 11-3665 LARCENY On Friday, September 2, 2011, Deputy Sinclair received a call from a resident of Reedsville who reported that money had been stolen from her home. This investigation is continuing.

CASE # 11-3684 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Sunday, September 4, 2011, Deputy Geisel received a call from a resident of South Preston Highway, near Tunnelton, in regards to a destruction of property complaint. The victims mailbox had been damaged.

CASE # 11-3708 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Monday, September 5, 2011, Sgt Turner received a call from a business owner in Tunnelton who reported that his dusk to dawn light had been shot at. Any witnesses are asked to contact Sgt Turner.

CASE # 11-3745 LARCENY On Tuesday, September 6, 2011, Sgt Turner received a larceny complaint from a resident of Terra Alta. The victim stated that prescription medication had been stolen from her residence. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-3712 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Wednesday, September 7, 2011, Sgt Turner was advised of a destruction of property complaint in Eglon. The victims cornfield had been driven through. Any witnesses are asked to contact Sgt. Turner.

CASE # 11-3717 BURGLARY On Wednesday, September 7, 2011, Deputy Rodeheaver responded the Newburg in regards to a burglary complaint. The victim had an orange Husqvarna chain saw and a 12 gauge H & R shotgun stolen from his residence.

CASE # 11-3739 LARCENY On Thursday, September 8, 2011, Cpl Pritt responded to Ken Snyder Road, near Tunnelton, in regards to a larceny complaint. Suspects had cut down approximately 500 feet of cable from the Frontier Communications service poles.

CASE # 11-3742 RECOVER STOLEN PROPERTY On Thursday, September 8, 2011, Cpl Tichnell engaged in a routine traffic stop in Terra Alta and upon investigation discovered the gray Chevrolet S-10 had been stolen from Monongalia County. The suspects were charged.

CASE # 11-3753 BURGLARY On Thursday, September 8, 2011, Cpl Brown responded to a residence on Old Route 73 near Bruceton Mills in regards to a burglary complaint. The victims had a flat screen television, a Playstation 3, and close to $400 in coinage and currency stolen from their home. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-3750 FRAUD/EMBEZZLEMENT On Thursday, September 8, 2011, Lt Stiles responded to an embezzlement complaint that occurred at a Kingwood business. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-3747 LARCENY On Thursday, September 8, 2011, Deputy Geisel responded to a residence on Borgman Road, near Kingwood, in regards to a larceny complaint. Farm equipment had been stolen. The items stolen are as follows:

300 steel fence post

4 piece well casing

Disk Harrow

International Plow

Green John Deere plow

Horse drawn antique cutting machine; side arm bar

Powered post hold digger

Axels and wheels from old mining car

1920’s antique model A transmission

Steel hog trough

Yellow John Deere snow plow blade

This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-3751 FORGERY/UTTERING On Thursday, September 8, 2011, Cpl Root received a forgery complaint from a resident of Masontown. The victim had her employment check stolen and forged from her place of employment in Reedsville. This is a continuing investigation.
