PACK 198 CUB SCOUTS
Thanks for expressing interest in Cub Scouts at Pack 198 WSP for your son. If you would like to sign-up your son for Cub Scouts, please join us at the 'Cub Scout Sign-Up Night' noted below:
The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build desirable qualities of character, to train in the responsibilities of citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. Personal fitness includes physical, mental, and emotional fitness. Our goal is for your son to 'build self-assurance while having fun doing it.'
Scouting activities are designed to help families teach their sons how to make good decisions throughout their lives and to give them confidence as they become adult leaders of tomorrow. The Cub Scouts are taught to "do their best" and to "be helpful to others" by following the 12 Scout Core Values.

Your son would meet with his classmates in a ‘Den’ once a monthplus a monthly field trip. ‘Pack’ Meetings, with all Dens, meet once a month - generally on 3rd Tuesdays @ 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Your son need not begin Scouting as a kindergartener or 1st grader. Each Scout level has its own activities and achievements and your son will easily adapt to the Scouting level in which he begins. Cub Scouts are active as a Pack from September thru May; however, the Pack does offer summer events as well.
