Job Title:Conference & Events Assistant

Responsible to: Deputy Conference & Events Manager

Responsible for: N/A

Job Purpose

To assist the Deputy Conference Manager with the coordination of the running of the conference centre within ‘The Showroom’. To assist with therunning of the iCafe and the Conference Centre to increase the profile and profitability of ’The Showroom’through developing the business by providing excellent customer care and exceptional event deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To carry out reception duties within the Conference Centre
  • To manage, maintain the iCafe by serving customers and providing a table services
  • Assisting and carrying out the day to day cleaning of the conference centre and assisting when necessary within the rest of the building
  • To ensure safeguarding measures are maintained to a high standard
  • To help with the set up and running of events
  • To work in a flexible approach when needed
  • Ensuring all events run smoothly and to a high standard
  • To further development through further education (NVQ Etc.)
  • To carry out kitchen duties.
  • To assist when necessary with customer complaints, comments and enquiries
  • To help ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing laws and other legal regulations
  • Assisting with day-to-day troubleshooting and addressing problems as they arise
  • To work in line with our Premises Licence and to make sure aspects are adhered to

line manager.

Good relations with other department heads/staff/volunteers on a day to day basis arenecessary
