Rotaract football Cup
Rules:
FIXTURES:
• The named team organizer will be responsible for ensuring that his team fulfills all the fixtures at the correct times and for the advising his players of their times and dates.
• If for any reason, a team cannot show up for the tournament, the event organizers should be informed at least 2 days in advance.
SQUAD:
• Teams can name a squad of upto 16 players, all of whom can play during a match.
• All questions of eligibility of players or interpretation of the rules should be referred to the opposing team captain, or in the final instance, to the event organizers, whose decision shall be final.
MATCH TIME:
• Each match will be consisting of 2 halves of 25 mins each with a 5 min half-time during which teams must exchange ends.
• Team captains must check in at the desk on the football ground before playing their match.
PLAYING KIT:
• All players within a team must wear T-shirts of identical colours.
• The goalkeeper should have a different coloured jersey than the rest of his teammates.
• Wearing shoes is compulsory for all the players while football studs are optional.
RULES OF PLAY:
• The normal rules of play shall prevail at all times.
REFEREES:
• All referees appointed will be neutral.
• All players are responsible for playing in an acceptable manner and for accepting the rules of fair play.
COMPETITION ARRANGEMENTS:
• There will be 2 groups. Each team will play all the other teams.
• At the end of all group matches, the top 2 teams in each group will advance to the Championship Play-Off.
SCORING:
• Win : 3 points
• Loss : 0 points
• Draw : 1 point
• Failure to turn up : -1 points
• In the event of 2 or more teams being equal on points after all the group matches have been played, the team with the highest goal difference will take precedence in the points table.
