Guidelines for Applicants

1. Applications for the Audrey Wolford VFW 2551 Auxiliary Scholarship, in the amount of $250, must be filled out completely and returned to school official by March 15, 2013, 2:30 p.m.

2. Only seniors with a grade point average between 2.0 and 4.0 whose parents, grandparents, great grandparents or brothers are members of either VFW

Post 2551 or its Auxiliary may apply. GED graduates may also apply.

3. Students must attend a two or four year college, trade schools also qualifying.

4. Students may combine this scholarship with other scholarships or grants.

5. If a winner does not choose to accept the scholarship, it will be awarded to the next qualified candidate.

6. Students may be asked to attend a personal interview if the scholarship committee requests them to do so. Recipients of the scholarship may also be asked to attend a special gathering to receive their award.

7. A recipient may reapply for a scholarship for another year. He or she must include an academic progress report with the application to the committee. The student will be considered with other applicants.
