Bradford on Avon Flower Club
Newsletter August 2016
Our demonstration in June “Wish you were here” was by Area demonstrator Marie Munday. Her interpretation of her holiday destinations certainly kept us amused and I have included a photo of a couple of her destinations.
The theme of the practice class on 27thJuly was “Italian Mass in a Pot” taken by Rosemary Stevens. There were some impressive results.
The beginner’s class of 10 people was taken by Maureen Faraway. Members and non-members have attended this class and everyone was full of enthusiasm! I think everyone went home pleased with what they had made.
Kew Trip August 6th.
We have a full 49 seater coach heading off to Kew Gardens on 6thAugust. Everyone on the trip has received e-mails updating them about details of the trip.
Club information
There is no practice or beginners class in August.
Our next demonstration is on Thursday 1stSeptember. The demonstrator is Margaret Murray with “I’m sorry I haven’t Got a Clue” More details of the meeting in the next newsletter.

On 20thJuly I went back to my old Club “North Wilts and Villages” to see our Treasurer Cath Brown give her first full demonstration. In spite of the fact she was moving house the following day she seemed cool, calm and collected and I thoroughly enjoyed her demonstration. She told us when she finds the time she would like to train as a NAFAS demonstrator. From the comments of the people there, she will be very popular.
Here is a photo of one of her designs she called “Summer Love” when she described the joys of speed dating!

One of the photographs in the calander taken by Lucy Ellis is of one of Cath Brown’s designs done at Chelsea 2015.

I know that some of you print out this newsletter. If you copy it into a Word document it is then possible to change the size of the photos so that you do not have to use too much ink and paper.
Well for once this is a relatively short newsletter! No doubt I will have more to tell you for the September newsletter when we get up to speed with the Jonathan Moseley workshop and our Open meeting and much more!
Hope you all enjoy the summer and that the weather is kind!
