Larry & Vicki, Chapter “C” Directors

Greetings Everyone:

The weather is getting nicer now, so get those bikes shined up & let’s ride. April 14th we are planning on riding to Dott to celebrate Floyd’s birthday. Please take a card along for him. We are meeting at Milky Way @ 11AM (OUT BACK) & continuing on to Dott, PA.

Things are shaping up nicely for our Ground Hog Day. Those involved, have been working hard getting things ready. We are hoping we have a good turnout for this event. We are sure everyone will have a really good time.

Our gathering is on April 21st & we are looking forward to seeing all of you again. Also, there is a CPR class April 21st at 9AM at the Antrim Church.

Till next time, be careful & ride safe.

Hello all,

“Happy Easter”

We had a good time at directors meeting at Mountain Top. It was a long day but we made it and then we headed to Chapter “H” for their meeting on Sunday. We made out fairly well. All couples won something. It was a door prize or 50-50….

Just a reminder about April 14th going to Dott, PA to have lunch with Floyd Palmer.

To let everyone know we are going on (2) roll for doughts, one is april 13th Friday night leaving from Milky Way (OUT BACK) and leaving at 3:30PM to Chapter “T”. The 2nd one is to Chapter “L” on Sunday April 15ht at 6:00AM from Cracker Barrel (OUT BACK)

I will be putting more roll for doughs together, information to come.

Keep riding & be safe.

Rider Education

Hello from your Chapter Educator. Several people from our group have asked me questions about the Rider Education Levels Program. I am planning on going over this program for everyone at the gathering but I will give a brief description here as well. The program is intended to make riding safer through education and the association of GWRRA and Motorcycle Safety Foundation. There are 4 levels in the program and participation is entirely voluntary. There are patches and pins with each level but they are extra. The steps start with level 1 and go up. The requirements for getting level 1 are pretty simple. It requires a verbal commitment to ride safely at all times. That’s it! This is tracked through accident free miles since joining GWRRA. The miles are accumulated in 5000 mile increments and pins are available to track your mileage. Patches are available for both Rider and Co-Rider as well. Level 2 requirements take more commitment. Known as the “Tour Rider” level, it requires different classes for Rider and Co-Rider. For Rider, a motorcycle riding course is required as well as 5000 safe miles. (I think these courses are good for 3 years but you would need to check your completion card.) For the Co-Rider, level 2 requires a Co-Rider seminar or a 2-up Rider course. Level 3 is known as the “Certified Tour Rider” level. It requires that you be current in level 2 and take either CPR or First Aid. Level 3 also requires that you carry a first aid kit on your bike at all times. (We should all be doing this anyway) Again, patches are available for both Rider and Co-Rider. Level 4 is the highest and most prestigious achievement. It is known as the “Master Tour Rider” level and you also get your own registered number with GWRRA. This requires that you be current in level 3 for one year and take both CPR and First Aid courses. In addition, it requires you to have 25,000 safe riding miles. I will go over this and more info at the gathering, so if anyone is interested in signing up to be in the program, they can get all the info they need. Also, if you would like to go over all this for yourself in more detail, you can go to

Thanks for reading and go riding!

Have fun and be safe!!!
