1. RSA Securid Token installation and usage.

The 4.1 –s rsa securid for windows soft tokent (vista,xp,2000)installation.

The softtoken downloadable from the following links.

Download the program from the link above, doubleclick to the msi installation file. Leave all option on default except the region selection.

Silent installation from commandline:

msiexec /i C:\RSASecurIDToken410.msi /lv c:\rsainstall.log /qn

Start the RSA Securid Token from the programs menu and select the Token Storage Device link:

Copy this information into a mail and send it to e-mailaddress with the „IAM request ID” and „User ID” information from the final IAM automatic response e-mail or you can attach this IAM e-mail as well. Without these information we cannot issue your soft token.

The soft token will be issued sortly (via e-mail with importing instruction) for this device only, it cannot be used another device.

  1. New pin code setup for the first time.

Start the Securid soft token.

Leave the pin field empty, just press the blue button.

Use this code for the first time password in the VPN client (or test page in the intranet).The login page will be promptsyou to continue (response Yes or No) and provide new pin code (4 – 8 character, only numbers allowed, starts with not zero). When the new pin accepted, you can use it for the subsequent login. The generated codes can be used only once.

  1. General usage of soft token.

Start the Securid soft token. Enter your pin number.

You can use this code in itself in the Password field of VPN client. You can use Copy button to use the clipboard.

Please note!If the VPN client ask to provide the pin and the tokencode separately, you have to set the authentication method to „User name and Password” option. This can be done by VPN client icon in the tray (little yellow key) right click , SAS icon right click, select Properties, select Authentication tab, or please select in the login page right down corner Options and Change Authentication.

  1. Good to know.

If you provide bad passcode several times (bad code more than 5 times, or your PC time or timezone is incorrect).

Next passcode message:

The VPN client can ask you to provide „next PASSCODE”, please wait for the next passcode displayed and provide it again. Afther the successful authentication this prompt will not displayed again.

If you provide bad passcode more than 10 times, the account will be disabled. Please call Helpdesk for the further assistance.
