RE ACCOMMODATION FOR NISSAN FEI WORLD CUP EQUESTRIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Port Elizabeth Riding Club are very proud to again be hosting a qualifier for the prestigious FEI World Cup Championship from the 14th – 18th November 2012. We have been very fortunate in securing Nissan South Africa as our premier sponsor for this event, which is going to make it bigger and better than last year. The main event on the Sunday will be televised, and Radio Algoa will be doing the radio presentation with an on site caravan on the Saturday to draw the PE public to come and watch.

This competition will have 4 classes ranging from 1m to 1:50m per day. The 1.50m class is where the top equestrian athletes from around our country will be competing.

As Port Elizabeth is one of the furthest venues for riders to come to, we have to make the event as enticing as possible to encourage the riders to attend and make the long trip from Gauteng, Natal and the Western Cape. This is becoming an annual event to the Port Elizabeth Riding Club and after the success of 2011, we are anticipating increased numbers attending this year, and as such always the possibility of repeat business giving a super return on investment.

We are looking to local accommodation establishments to sponsor accommodation either in the form of a complete sponsorship or even a night or two, to these top athletes. These riders normally travel with an entourage of pupils and their families and also their own families. We would assume that the establishment sponsoring the accommodation would receive paid bookings from them as they do normally all like to stay together. We would only allow the top athletes to make use of this sponsored accommodation.

We in turn would advertise your establishment in our entry schedule, which will be sent to all the riders country-wide together with the sponsors contact details and also on our programme for the event.

Should you have any queries, please don’thesitate to contact me via email on

Kind regards

Tanja Radke
