Going to the State Fair
We are going on a trip to the state fair. There will be lots to see and do at the fair. I will have lots of fun. Here are some things that I might do. It might be little bit different at my fair than the pictures.
To buy things at the fair, we must get coupons. To buy our coupons, we might need to wait in line. That’s okay…there is lots to look at while we wait.
Here are some things we might do with our coupons.
At the fair, there are places we might buy food. The food might include corn dogs, turkey legs, funnel cakes, corn, and French fries.
There are also car shows. Some of the car shows are inside and some are outside. It is okay to look at the cars, but I will not touch them.
I can also see craft shows. If people make arts and crafts such as quilts, paintings, and photographs, they can enter them in the fair. The winners are on display. Some people sell the crafts they make.
At the Midway, there are games to play.
The people working at the games will call out to people to come play the games. They might say things like, “Come play ring toss!” or “Everyone wins a prize!”
There are performances, like these dancers.
There will also be lots of people at the fair. They have come to have fun at the fair, just like me!
Sometimes, there might be vehicles in the road. This tram is taking people on a tour of the fair.
This golf cart carries people who work at the fair. I will need to watch where I am walking to stay away from any vehicles in the road.
If I get lost from my family or school group, I don’t need to worry. I can find a booth that says, “Information” or “Info.” The people at these booths work for the fair and can help me find my group.
They might look like this:
Or, like this:
I will have a great time at the fair!
