DIRECTIONS ON REVERSE SIDE

The application is divided into three sections. Each section is explained in detail below, with examples as needed. All three sections must be completed before the application will be considered for placement.

Troops camping at Meriwether, MistyMountain, Pine Acres, and Timber Ridge may sign up for Troop CampPlus activities using the form supplied at time of confirmation.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SECTION ONE, TWO, & THREE

SECTION 1:

  • This section must be filled out completely by the troop leader.
  • Troop level = BR JR CD SR
  • Tag-a-longs and Male Campers: See theGuide For Camping for information regarding Tag-a-longs and males on Girl Scout trips.

SECTION 2:

This section is used to request your desired choice(s) for camp, site, and weekend. An example is given below.

Additional pages may be attached to indicate more choices. Keep in mind having many choices makes it easier to place a troop in a camping unit. If the units you select are not available, a comparable alternative unit will be reserved as available.

Important notes: (New Information)

  • Due to the high volume of spring requests, small troops will be assigned units with other small troops of the same program level. (you will be notified of the other troop) Troops requesting to camp together must fill out applications for each troop and attach them together in the same envelope.
  • The ranger will be taking a count of the number of persons actually camping with your troop. Troops that have more people than the posted number of occupancy will be asked to send home the persons who exceed the limit. No exceptions will be made, so please follow the guidelines provided for number of people per unit. Disruptive, negligent or unsafe behavior of a troop or guests may result in the troop being asked to leave the campground. No refund will be available in this case.
  • Service Unit Camporees: A troop camping form may be submitted for the following camps: Meriwether, MistyMountain, and Scout Haven. Note that camporees and individual troops are given the same consideration when booking a unit.

SECTION 3:

All information in this section must be completed in full. Vehicle logs can be obtained through your service unit director or copied from the Guide for Camping or from If you are not traveling by private passenger vehicle, see the note at the bottom of the Vehicle Log for further information.

If training of troop camper or certification of first aider is to be completed after application date, but prior to camping date (at least 30 days), the name and training date should be filled in. All applications with this information will be checked prior to the camping weekend to ensure that training has occurred. The reservation is subject to cancellation if the appropriate training has not occurred.
