Marketing Research Analyst

National Student Loan Program (NSLP) seeks a Marketing Research Analyst to operate in a fast-paced Environment. The primary role of the Marketing Research Analyst is to provide in-depth research support including, but not limited to, online and offline research, information on marketing, strategies, offers, services and products, assessment of strategic direction and marketplace analysis. The position will provide primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative market research data for analytical support to existing and new product, marketing and sales strategies. In addition, it will provide primary and secondary market trend and research data to position the company as an industry thought leader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

  • Producing product and service industry specific marketing & competitive background decks.
  • Compiling, analyze and interpret information from both internal and external sources.
  • Managing competitive, client and industry research data, assets and decks.
  • Conducting advanced quantitative and qualitative analyses of trends to enhance upgrade and deepen product, marketing and retention strategies.
  • Developing, writing, and presenting strategic recommendations and projects that directly address industry specific research questions and concepts to position the company as a thought leader and further build the brand.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions that identify new product, marketing and sales opportunities.
  • Organizing and maintaining research information.
  • Staying current on industry trends and technological advancements to maintain our competitive edge in the marketplace.
  • Reviewing and proposing new research sources and methodologies to refine processes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics or financial analysis combined with 3+ years’ experience in data analysis and marketing research. MBA a plus.
  • Proven ability to interpret data and express those implications of analysis
  • Excellent analytical thinking – ability to work well with numbers and analyze complex data.
  • Familiarity with industry measurement tools such as; IMS, TNS Media Intelligence,Competitrack, JW, Mintel, MRI, Hoovers WEff.
  • Expert at use and sourcing of research tools.
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of the financial industry.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation is required
