POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide Testing Center services to ECC students,faculty, and community members.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
Administer tests in the Testing Center at main campus, providing secure exam delivery of paper & pencil or computer-based tests.
Respond to and/or direct inquiries made in person and on the phone.
Maintain a comfortable, quiet, and secure testing environment.
Ensure security of test materials by filing them promptly and appropriately.
Maintain logs of all tests administered in the Testing Center.
Check-in examinees, verify identification, and provide proper testing instructions. Make sure that only permitted items are carried into the testing room, and that remaining possessions are properly stored.
Adhere to departmental and/or external testing regulations and procedures, as specified on exam cover sheets, correspondence course instruction sheets, or standardized testing procedure manuals.
Monitor examinees while testing to ensure that testing regulations are strictly followed.
Report incidents of academic dishonesty to the appropriate instructor, VP of Student Development, and Learning Center Director.
Communicate all relevant testing information/procedures/restrictions to other Testing/Learning Center personnel. Update electronic calendar with scheduled testing appointments.
Reportneededrepairs or updates of computers, software, furniture, etc.in testing rooms to appropriate department and/or Learning Center Director.
Assist the Learning & Testing Center team with administrative tasks, as needed.
Ensure that all activities are conducted within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Ability to ensure the confidentiality of student and faculty documents.
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people, including students, employees, faculty, and the general public.
Familiarity with standard word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
Knowledge of general and specific office procedures related to both Learning Center and Testing Center.
Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with other employees at all levels.
Ability to provide quiet, secure atmosphere for testing.
Minimal knowledge of ADA regulations with regards to making referrals.

EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE:
Use office machines such as telephones, fax machines, copiers or calculators.
Use computers for data entry or custom applications; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Use equipment or software for scoring tests (Grademaster, Scantron, etc.)
Use equipment, software or course management systems for administering and/or monitoring computer-based tests (Moodle, Insight, etc.)
WORKING CONDITIONS - the following physical conditions and hazards may be encountered in this position:
The position is in an indoor environment with a moderate noise level.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear, stand, walk.
This employee is occasionally required to lift up to 15 pounds.
