Ohio Congressional Members -Position on full Repeal of Obamacare

Calls placed to all representatives on Wednesday 3-8-17.

Q: Do you support the full and complete repeal of Obamacare? (Specifically the Freedom Caucus plan for full and complete repeal?)

(If I’m given the standard line, The Representative has not made a statement and I cannot speak for the Representative . . . . then I gave a follow up question.).

Follow-up Question:

Q: There are 2 plans/approaches. The Paul Ryan plan and the complete repeal of Obamacare (Freedom Caucus plan) by Mr. Meadows. Which one does Rep.______support?

If they gave the same response - still refusing to tell where the representative stands. . .”I have no statement from the Congressman, etc., etc....

Then I gave my statement: I’m confused. The Rep. repeatedly ran on the platform of full repeal of Obamacare. Rep.____voted in full support of repeal under Boehner time and time again. Members of my party lamented it only needed the Senate – then it claimed it could not repeal because it needed the presidency. Now what is your excuse? I don’t understand why the representative isn’t making the statement he supports the full and complete repeal of Obamacare.

Given the campaign promises and the repetitive votes to fully repeal under Boehner -- I expect to hear you say Rep____ SUPPORTS THE FULL REPEAL OF OBAMACARE. I will be calling back in 2 days and hopefully you will be able to assure me that Rep ______will be doing the right thing, keeping his promise and fully supporting the FULL repeal of Obamacare. NOT advancing Obamacare part II.

Joyce Beatty (D)Explained my personal story as well as family members. What it’s actually like being in ACA system. We need better. We deserve better. Everyone, rich, poor, on the left, right regardless of party needs to be able to have access to quality care. This current plan replaces patients with profits and serves no one well. Please consider full repeal and let’s do better for all Americans. Very courteous and respectful staff.

Tim Ryan (D)Same as above. Once again, very courteous and respectful staff.

On another note – constantly roping off our lives to “fight” Washington on a constant basis even after we have won the house, senate and presidency may be ok with them – it’s not ok with us.

GET THE GAVEL out of the democratic wing of the Republican Party – hit pipsqueak Ryan over the head with it and show him the door! Let’s get on with the people’s business. There are far too many items needing to be addressed and corrected. We cannot continue to fight Obstructionist Paul Ryan while we attempt to restore liberty.

If the House can’t recruit, vet and round up the votes necessary for a Speaker that represents the will and wishes of the American people and the president – then don’t count on us to save you!

We demand real leadership! Vacate the chair.
