One of the leading musical theatre performers in Canada, Warren Kimmel’s career has been an incredible journey spanning three continents and forty years.Don’t Call Us, We’ll CallYou!isan eclectic, funny and bitter-sweet musical cabaret that chronicles his career in South Africa, England and Canada. Warren’s journey revisits the music that got him hooked and the songs he dreamed of singing; The roles he almost got to play and the ones he never will; The highs and the lows, the triumphs and disasters;And tries to answer his mother’s eternal question –“Why couldn’t you have studied medicine? You had the grades!”

Warren is joined by Wendy Bross Stuart(Music Director/Piano), Tracy Neff (Vocals),Phil Belanger(Percussion) and Alison Dalton (Bass).

Born in South Africa, Warren Kimmeltrained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. His eventful career has included leading roles at prestigious theatres and renowned companies in London’s West End, Toronto’s Princess of Wales theatre and Vancouver’s Arts Club and Playhouse theatres. In Canada Warren has played everything from Dan Goodman inNext to Normalat the Arts Club to Captain von Trapp inThe Sound of Musicfor Mirvish Productions in Toronto to The Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast here in town.“Kimmel is simply breathtaking in his breadth and (vocal) range.”– Peter Birnie, Vancouver Sun.

Wendy Bross Stuart (Music Director, Band Leader, Arranger)is anethnomusicologist, music director, composer, arranger, piano accompanist andvocal coach. She holds degrees from McGill and UBC (M.Mus. in ethnomusicology). Wendy has authored two books:Gambling Music of the Coast Salish Indians (National Museum of Man) and NorthernHaida Songs (University ofNebraska Press) and recorded four CD’s of Jewishmusic. Selected theatre credits include ten seasons atTheatre Under The Stars, Company (Skycorner), The Last Five Years (Roaring Lion), Ruthless! - the Musical(Ophidian), The One Who Got Away (Electric Company), Little Mercy’s FirstMurder (Touchstone Theatre),Peer Gynt(Blackbird – Jessie Award, Outstanding Production), The Thing About Men (Presentation House/Arts Club On Tour) and The Story of My Life (Revue Stage,Granville Island).

Tracy Neff (Vocals)is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music (BFA, Musical Theatre) and was a featured singer with the Boston Pops Orchestra.She was most recently seen as theNarratorin Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (WCT) and 12-year-old Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee(Arts Club/Belfry). Other credits includeLaureyin Oklahoma! (Chemainus),Sarah Brownin Guys and Dolls (Gateway),Amyin Company (Arts Club, Jessie Nomination - Best SupportingActress),Charlotte/Milkmaid/Betin Oliver!(Vancouver Playhouse),Sandyin Grease(TUTS) andHope Cladwellin Urinetown (Firehall – Jessie Award, Best Production).

Phil Belanger (Drums and Percussion) is kept busy playing drums and percussion for just about every genre of music around including performances with the Vancouver Symphony and Opera Orchestras, the Arts Club, CBC Radio, and countless rock, jazz, Latin, and R + B outfits. He is currently the regular drummer with the Vancouver Men's Chorus, the City Soul Gospel Choir, and the groups of Tom and Georgina Arntzen and the group Tzimmes, amongst many others.Phil is a graduate of the UBC Music School.

Alison Dalton (Bass) has been busy around Vancouver carving out a niche by being multi-talented and versatile. As well as playing double and electric basses in various musical theatre productions around town, she also plays regularly in the West Coast Symphony and is in high demand for a number of other orchestras. Alison is a teacher of bass and piano, a regularly employed pipe organist, and has also performed often as a trumpet player and a percussionist.
