Co-owner and Environmental Educator

§  Design and manage a small, mission-driven business to provide nature connection and education to Central Missouri.

§  Collaboratively run a nature-focused cooperative of “unschoolers” ages seven to 13, three days a week.

§  Developed and led weekly afterschool groups, winter nature camps, and school’s-out day camps for elementary school children.

Rural Action/Ohio Stream Restore Corps, Aug. 2012 – Aug 2014

Environmental Education AmeriCorps

§  Developed and taught water quality, zero waste, and ecology lessons aligned to Common Core for preK-12 classes, integrating experiential environmental lessons into curricula and building ongoing relationships with school districts.

§  Led education programs for juvenile rehabilitation center, university classes, Athens Public Libraries, and other community groups.

§  Trained teachers, community educators, AmeriCorps members, and teen leaders in environmental education techniques (see attached, “Workshops Taught”).

§  Taught and coordinated food for three weeks of Watershed Day Camp each summer.
