SERVANT VERIFICATION FORM LED TO ARREST OF NEPALI COOK IN HOUSE THEFT: STOLEN PROPERTY INCLUDING JEWELLERY, MOBILE PHONES WORTH LAKHS OF RUPEES RECOVERED
With the arrest of accused Bikash Shrestha (22 years) s/o Durgaman Shrestha r/o Village Khalte, District Dhading, Nepal, staff of PS S.J. Enclave, South District has worked out a case of domestic servant theft and recovered stolen jewellery and mobile phone worth lacs of rupees.
INCIDENT/BRIEF FACTS :
On 12/07/11, the complainant Ms. Vandana Singh r/o B-4/208, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi visited PS S.J. Enclave and reported that her domestic servant namely Bikash Shrestha whom she had hired just 4-5 days before decamped with her valuable jewellery articles and cash worth Rs. 5 lakhs while she was on foreign tour. The complainant further reported that the jewellery has sentimental values for her as the same was gifted to her by the royal families. On the complaint of Ms. Vandana Singh, a case vide FIR No. 187/11 U/S 381 IPC PS S.J. Enclave was registered and investigation taken up.
INVESTIGATION :
During the course of investigation, a team consisting of SI Pawan Tomar, HC Dinesh Tyagi, Ct. Anuj, Ct. Ramniwas and Ct. Saleem was constituted under the supervision of Inspr. A.S. Rawat, SHO/Safdarjung Enclave and Sh. Mohinder Singh, ACP/Safdarjung Enclave. It was revealed that the complainant had hired the domestic servant on 05/07/11 and beat constables Ct. Saleem and Ct. Ram Niwas had filled the Servant Verification Form on the next day for his verification. From the servant verification form, it was found that accused Bikash Shrestha belongs to Dhading District of Nepal. On the next day, the complainant also informed that the accused had also stolen a brand new mobile phone (make Nokia) which she had purchased for accused.
Thereafter, the team zeroed on local intelligence and it was found that few relatives of accused are residing in Kotla Mubarakpur area. The relatives were interrogated at length which revealed that earlier accused was working in Ambassador Hotel of Taj Group until May, 2011 and he suddenly left the job on the pretext of his marriage. It was also come to notice that marriage of accused has been fixed for 10/07/11 with the sister of his colleague who was working with him in Ambassador Hotel. However, the accused did not turn up for his marriage even the girl’s family had made all the arrangements for marriage. Thus, there was no concrete clue about the accused and subsequently, efforts were made to develop the criminal intelligence, which finally brought good results.
The team received an information that earlier accused had worked in a village Mahadeo near Sardhana, Meerut (UP) for many years before he arrived in Delhi. A team was immediately dispatched to Sardhana where the villagers informed that he had arrived in the village on 14/07/11 and thereafter he left the village on 23/07/11 with the pretext that he had to go to Nepal to meet his ailing mother. However, a crucial lead about the accused was received by the police team and finally the accused was arrested from Sewa Nagar near Lodhi Colony in the evening of 24/07/11, while he was about to escape to Nepal. Stolen property including two gold chains with pendants, a very costly stone engraved gold ring, three mobile phones and cash was recovered from his possession.
INTERROGATION :
On sustained interrogation, accused disclosed that he originally belongs to Nepal and used to come in India for work as cook. He is expert in cooking of South Indian dishes and therefore he managed to get the job as cook in Ambassador Hotel near Khan Market where he came in contact of his Nepali colleague namely Love Kumar and became friendly with him. Love Kumar was very impressed with the accused and gave him a proposal for the marriage of his sister with accused, which he accepted. The marriage was fixed for 10/07/11. However just few days before the marriage, accused disappeared as he was not any more interested in the girl. After that with the help of his friend Ramesh, he came in contact with the complainant and managed to get the job of cook in her house.
Accused further disclosed that on the day of theft, a very costly flower pot which was gifted to the complainant by the French President was accidentally broken and for that the complainant had scolded the accused. Besides, he was irritated as he had to clean the sandals of complainant, as the complainant is having more than 100 pairs of sandals. One day since complainant was away for foreign tour, he planned to commit theft and escape from that house. After stealing cash and valuables, accused first went to Haridwar and stayed there for a day but he could not dispose off the stolen articles and then decided to go to his previous employer in Sardhana from where he ran away as there was lot of farming work. Thereafter, he arrived in Delhi and was about to go to Nepal for disposal of stolen property.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED :
Bikash Shrestha (22 years) s/o late Durgaman Shrestha r/o Village Khalte, District Dhading, Nepal is a school dropout. He is unmarried and his family is settled in his native village in Nepal.

1. One gold chain with heavy pendant

3. One gold ring in which a very costly stone is engraved
4. Three mobile phones
5. Cash Rs. 3700/-

INTERSTATE GANG OF WOMEN DRUG SUPPLIERS BUSTED AND RECOVERED 19.270 KGS NARCOTIC SUBSTANCE (GANJA)
With the arrest of 4 female accused, the staff of PS Fatehpur Beri, South District recovered 19.270 Kgs narcotic substance (Ganja) and busted a women gang involved in supplying of narcotic substance from Bihar.
BRIEF FACTS / INCIDENT :
On 24.07.11 at about 2 PM, HC Surender Singh No. 2232/SD, Ct Chandrabhan No. 3044/SD and Ct Dinesh while conducting area patrolling, spotted 4 women along with a 6 years old child who were carrying plastic bag containing dirty cloths on their heads at Pipal Chowk, Shiv Mandir, Fatehpur Beri. They showed uneasiness on seeing the police party and turned back to avoid the attention of police party. On suspicion, the patrolling staff immediately asked them to stop for enquiry. On search of plastic bags, it revealed that beneath the dirty cloths, they had concealed narcotic substance (ganja), weighing 19.270 kgs. Immediately, the patrolling staff called IO/SI Jaiveer and a Lady Officer Surekaha on the spot. On enquiry, all the accused revealed their identity as Nirmala Devi w/o Late Sakal Deep Sahni, Jharoka Devi w/o Late Pradip Sahni, Chandri Devi w/o Ram Babu Sahni and Champa Devi w/o Jagat Sahni, all r/o Village Guraul, District Vailali, Bihar. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 158/11 dated 24/07/11 u/s 20/29/61/85 NDPS Act PS Fatehpur Beri was registered and investigation taken up.
INTERROGATION :
On sustained interrogation, accused disclosed that they used to supply the narcotic substance to one Kalam, who is running a tailor shop in Village Fatehpur Beri and pays them Rs. 1000/- for each trip from Hajipur (Bihar) to Delhi. They further disclosed that nobody doubts on them being lady and while carrying minor children with them. Further investigation is on to arrest accused Kalam.

AUTO-LIFTER ARRESTED - ONE CAR AND TWO MOTOR-CYCLES RECOVERED.
With the arrest of Suyeb Akhtar s/o Ubeddur Rehman R/o Navi Hussain 11/131, Meerganj Ki Chowki, Badayun U.P. age 28 years, Anti-Auto Theft Squad, South-East Distt. solved three cases of auto theft and recovered one TATA Indigo Car and two motor cycles.
Team and Investigation:-
In order to prevent increased incidents of auto theft in South-East Distt and NCR one team of Anti Auto Theft Squad was constituted under the supervision of Insp. Balkrishan Badola consisting of HC Sunil Gaur, HC Kailash Chand, Ct. Vishwajit Sharma, Ct. Ravindra Giri and Ct. Ghanshyam under overall supervision of Sh. V.K. Kalia ACP/Operations. On 24.7.11 a trap was laid near Okhla Mandi Gate where the above said person came in a white colour Indigo car bearing No. DL-8CL-5054. He was stopped and interrogated. During interrogation his name and address was known as Suyeb Akhtar s/o Ubeddur Rehman R/o Navi Hussain 11/131, Meerganj Ki Chowki, Badayun U.P.and on checking Tata Indigo Car No. DL-8CL-5054 found stolen vide FIR No.866/2011, PS Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, U.P. So, he was arrested u/s 41.1 Cr.P.C. During sustained interrogation he disclosed that two stolen motor cycles were given to him by his friend Salim of Badayun for sale. These were kept by him at his temporary house i.e. Shaukin ka Makan, Pila Quarter, Ghaziabad which were recovered on his instance. One motor cycle was found stolen vide FIR No. 410/10 u/s 379 IPC PS R.K. Puram and the other has been seized u/s 102 Cr.P.C.
Interrogation and Modus Operandi:-
On sustained interrogation the accused Suyeb Akhtar disclosed that he passed 8th class from Badayun, U.P. and he has no agricultural land. His father is running a shoe shop in Agra U.P. He started driving with Mr. Ravinder Jha of Indirapuram and a month ago he stole Tata Indigo Car of his owner and tried to sell the vehicle in Delhi where he was apprehended.
Recoveries:-
1. TATA Indigo car No. DL-8CL-5054 stolen vide FIR No.866/11, PS Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, U.P.
2. One M/Cycle Hero Honda Passion No. DL-3SA-6811 stolen vide FIR No. 410/10 PS R.K. Puram, New Delhi.
3. One M/Cycle Bajaj Pulsar No. DL-6SR-1832 seized u/s 102 Cr.P.C.
Further raids are being conducted and investigation is in progress.

Ø High profile call girl racket involving foreign nationals busted.
Ø 6 Uzbek women apprehended.
A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Arti Sharma and consisting of SI Sharat Kohli, ASI Suresh Kumar, HC Shyam Lal, HC Amit Tomar, Ct. Narender, Ct. Dabbu, Ct. Deepak, Ct. Kamal and Ct. Gyaneswar under the supervision of Addl. DCP Joy Tirkey have busted a high profile call girl racket involving foreign nationals. Six call girls have been apprehended.
Information was received on 24.7.2011 by HC Amit Tomar that a high profile call girl racket involving foreign nationals is being run at Greater Kailash, Part-II, New Delhi. This information was further developed and a raiding party was constituted and after completing legal formalities a decoy customer was sent to strike a deal. As soon as the deal was struck the police team swooped down and apprehended six women. All the six women were arrested under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Foreigner’s Act.
Investigations revealed that the call girls from Uzbekistan apparently on tourist visas worked for a lady pimp who is also from Uzbekistan. She has been operating in Delhi and NCR Region for the past 3 years. It has been learnt that she has ostensibly married an Indian national to live in India. The Call girls were residing at three places in Delhi i.e. Greater Kailash-II, Safdarjung Enclave and Arjun Nagar. The 1st floor of Greater Kailash-II had been taken on rent for Rs. 50,000/- per month while the Safdarjung Enclave and Arjun Nagar cost them Rs. 20,000/- per month. The lady pimp being from Uzbekistan, trafficked girls from Uzbekistan to Delhi on regular basis. She arranged for their transport and accommodation in the city. She arranged for the clients to meet with the girls and also fixed the price per girl according to the perceived paying capacity of the client. She charged between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000 per girl per night. She charged more if the client wished to take the girl out for a couple of days in the weekend. She entertained clients only when they came to her with a trusted reference from a former client. The call girls earned in Lacs per month.
The lady pimp is absconding. Two registers kept by the lady pimp, in which she wrote details of cash transaction with her call girls, have also been seized.
Further investigation is in progress.

ONE SNATCHER ARRESTED
INTRODUCTION:
On 24.07.2011 at about 6.30 A.M., the staff of MPV, 0-53 were going to change the battery of MPV to P.S Darya Ganj. While they were going to change the battery, when they reached near Minto Bridge, they heard some commotion in a DTC Bus No. DL-1PB-6312 of Route No.729. They immediately took a turn and reached near the DTC Bus. Seeing the PCR Van, four boys having knives in their hands got down from the bus and tried to run away. The PCR staff headed by I/C Van ASI Jafrudin, No. 2579/D, Gunman Ct. Ajay Kumar, No. 7192/PCR and Ct. (Dvr.) Bijender , No, 9197/PCR were able to apprehend one of them namely Salman S/o Sh. Abdul Gaffar R/o Juggi No. C-4/85, LNJP Colony Delhi aged about 22 years. When enquired from the passengers of the bus, it was learnt that these four persons were holding all the passengers of the bus and asking all of them to hand over all their belongings. They had snatched a Mobile Phone of one Mr. Santosh Kumar S/o SH. Nageshwar Singh R/o H. No. 499, Kapeshera, New Delhi. So, PCR Van immediately handed over the apprehended accused person Salman S/o Sh. Abdul Gaffar R/o Juggi No. C-4/85, LNJP Colony Delhi to the Local Police of P.S. Kamla Market and a criminal case vide FIR No. 60/11 dated 24.07.11 U/S 382/411/34 IPC was registered at P.S Kamla Market. in this regard. Further investigation to apprehend the rest of the accused is in progress.
