1. ADMISSION AND ENROLLMENT
- Ages of admission include 2 year to 5 year olds
- The following forms must be completed prior to admission:
- Registration form signed by Parent or Guardian
- Complete record of immunization.
- A signed agreement form provided in the back of the parent handbook.
- It is very important that your child attends on a regular basis. If your child is absent for two consecutive weeks and you have not informed the director or teacher of the absence their space will be filled automatically by another child on the waiting list.
D. It is normal for your child to have some fears and misgivings about being away from you. Children, like adults, need time to get used to new situations. Try to prepare your child for the changes as far in advance as possible. Discuss any concerns. Talk about some of the new people your child will meet and the new things your child will do. If you are enthusiastic, soon your child will be too. If this is the first time your child has been separated from you, it is natural for he/she to be hesitant. A cheerful good-bye kiss, a smile, and a reassuring word that you will be back is all you need to do. We will take it from there. Usually the child will settle down shortly after you leave. If your child absolutely does not settle down, we will notify you.

- DISCIPLINE STATEMENT
Children should have the privilege of a safe and nurturing environment in which to grow and learn. We feel it is important to help children develop a positive self image and to learn to be self-directed and exhibit self control. We feel that when adults use the following guidance techniques these goals for children can be attained. These techniques are:
1.Guiding children by setting clear, consistent and fair limits for classroom behavior.
2.Helping children learn to make good choices and valuing mistakes as learning opportunities.
3.Redirecting children to learn more acceptable behavior or activity.
4.Listening when children talk about their feelings and frustrations.
5.Guiding children to resolve their conflicts and modeling skills that help children solve problems.
6.Patiently reminding children of rules and their rationale as needed.
Time out periods are only used for extreme situations when a child needs a few minutes to be alone to compose themselves. The teacher will talk with them before helping them reenter the group.
