Finances

The University’s central U21 budget will contribute up to £1,000 per staff member to attend the ECR Workshop. Any staff member selected will be expected to cover any remaining costs or expenses through their School.

Criteria for selection

Applicants for places will be considered by a panel in the University Secretary’s Office, using the following criteria:

- Alignment of the personal statement and CV with the workshop theme;

- Added value for the staff member in attending the event.

Report

Please note that a condition of attending and receiving University funding towards the cost of the workshop, is the submission of a report within 1 month of returning to Edinburgh (1,000 words). This should outline the experiences of the workshop and will be shared with the relevant School and College. Previous reports are available at:
