· The concept for the Mary Kay Career Car program began when Mary Kay Ash awarded the use of the first pink Cadillacs to the top five Independent Sales Directors in 1969.
· The 105 participants in the pink Cadillac rally drove a combined total of 17,821 miles from their hometowns to be a part of the event.
· There are participants from five states – Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
· The furthest participant drove 645 miles from El Paso, TX followed by 504 miles from West Plains, MO.
· The parade of 105 pink Cadillacs will drive a total of 1,890 miles from the Dallas Arts District to the Mary Kay World Headquarters in Addison.
· There are three Cadillac models participating in the parade – the CTS sedan, SRX SUV and Escalade SUV.
· When lined up bumper-to-bumper the Cadillac caravan will stretch nearly 1,700 feet in length.
· Three sedans and nine motorcycles from the Dallas Police Department will escort the pink Cadillac caravan from the Dallas Arts District to the Mary Kay World Headquarters in Addison.
· The total number of Mary Kay independent sales force members who currently have qualified or re-qualified for the use of one of the cars in the Mary Kay Career Car Program is more than 7,500.
· Currently, there are 1,300 coveted Mary Kay pink Cadillacs being driven in the United States.
· More than 143,000 independent sales force members have qualified or re-qualified for the use of a career car since the inception of the Mary Kay Career Car Program in 1969. This includes all pink Cadillacs and other cars offered in the program.
