Veronica Carey, PhD, CPRP

Psychiatric Rehabilitation offers unique perspectives and approaches for assisting people in recovery to achieve desired outcomes. Recognizing the need to focus on psychiatric rehabilitation principles across the lifespan promotes growth that is germane to each area of a person’s life, and Dr. Carey will discuss the need to recognize the importance of applying recovery principles and practices across the lifespan for individuals who utilize behavioral health services.

Soldier/Doctor Jon Kerstetter, MD, MS, MFA, FS

Dr. Kerstetter will provide conference attendees a combination of a medical doctor’s perspective with that of a patient’s perspective on the topic of brain injury and subsequent cognitive rehabilitation. Dr. Kerstetter is both the doctor and the patient in this case, and the perspectives gained from each role add a unique insight to the prospect of Recovery across the Lifespan.
