PROCEDURE FOR CLIENT RECORDING SESSIONS

Here are steps you need to follow to get a client in to record or to listen to audio:

  1. First task is to schedule an appointment with someone in creative services…contact Josh Ryan or Lori Tomlin in COLUMBIA and Bonnie Tapper or Jay Walker in JEFF CITY. You can do this by way of a phone call, email, or in person.
  2. When scheduling an appointment, please be considerate and make the appointment 24 hours in advance. We understand there are emergencies and we will do everything we can to help, but please schedule in advance.
  3. A production order MUST be turned in prior to the client recording session. If at all possible, a copy of the script needs to be turned in as well.
  4. After you have confirmed a time for the client to come in and record, a confirmation email will be sent to you and copied to everyone in creative services and Stephanie confirming the time of the appointment.
  5. On the production order…list details of what the client is seeking in regards to production…such as style of music, male/female announcer, sound effects, or any other special requests.
  6. The production order should also list the name of the individual(s) coming into record the commercial.
  7. As mentioned earlier, a script should accompany the production order and be given to creative services prior to the client coming in to record the ad. We will not spend time writing or editing a script in the studio…if you need time to edit or write the script, have your client come in prior to their scheduled recording time.
  8. The recording sessions need to be limited to 1 hour.

9. Talk with Stephanie prior to the client coming in to record their

commercial…she should be made aware of what time the client

will be coming in, the name of the client, etc. This ensures that

when the client comes in to our building, they can see that we

have taken extra steps to greet them and that we are prepared for

them.
