16.00 – Brittany Ferries Ferry Crossing from Portsmouth
20.00 – Arrive in Cherbourg
22.30 – Arrive at the Château / 8.15 BREAKFAST / 5.30 – Depart from the Château
8.30 – Crossing from Caen with Brittany Ferries
13.15 – Arrive in Portsmouth
17.00 – Arrive at Pitsford
9.15 -12.00 / 9.15-10.00 – Whole group guided tour of the château + introduction to staff
10.15-12.30 –

“WHAT TO BRING” LIST FOR PUPILS

  • A soft bag for your main luggage (NOT a suitcase)
  • Valid passport (and visa if required)
  • EHIC Card
  • Personal medication, in a bag, labelled with your name and clear instructions for each medication.
  • Travel sickness tablets or bracelets
  • A packed lunch and dinner for the outbound journey
  • Spending money (£50-£60 in Euros and £20 in Sterling)
  • Small ruck-sack for day-trips and for travelling days
  • Games and books for the journey
  • Notebook, pencil case and pencils
  • French/English dictionary
  • One small and one large towel
  • Plastic bags for laundry
  • French & English Dictionary
  • Games and books for the journey
  • Washbag with personal toiletries: soap, shampoo, flannel, toothpaste, tooth brush, comb etc
  • Waterproof jacket or cagoule
  • Your Normandy 2015 hoodie
  • 1 spring/summer jacket
  • 1 tracksuit bottoms
  • 2 sweatshirt/jumpers
  • 3 to 4 T-shirts
  • 1 to 2 long-sleeved tops
  • 2 jeans/trousers
  • 2 shorts (summer only!)
  • Swimming costume
  • Socks and underwear for 5 days
  • Pyjamas/nightwear
  • Indoor shoes or slippers
  • 1 pair of old trainers and trousers for muddy activities
  • Trainers and comfortable shoes (for visits and non-muddy outdoors activities)
  • Travel adaptor for electric/electronic devices such as hairdryers, phones etc.
  • Fancy dress (French theme) and costumes for a talent show
  • Sun cream
  • A hat/cap
