Dear Wrestling Coach,
Congratulations on selecting to be a part of Miami High’s 2nd Annual Christmas Tournament! The intent of this letter is to provide you with a few welcoming reminders. The date for the tournament will be Saturday, December 18, 2004. The weigh-in will begin promptly at 8:00 am. There will be a 1 lb. per weight class weight allowance. Afterwards, we will conduct a seeding meeting based merely on state credentials. Only state qualifiers will be considered, every other wrestler will be placed on a random drawing. Our main objective for the tournament is to provide a facility where every wrestler can gain experience.
It is important to note that each team will be issued 5 complimentary passes in addition to a participating wrestler and Head Coach pass. For everyone else, there will be a one time $2.00 entrance fee for the entire tournament. In addition, there will be a hospitality room for coaches. Three hospitality passes will be given per team to be used during hospitality hours. There will be a one-hour session scheduled for lunch and dinner. Furthermore, a concession stand will be available from 9 am to 6 pm.
The tournament will be conducted based on individual brackets. It will run straight through without intermissions. The finals and consolidation rounds will be held simultaneously. It will be a double elimination tournament. Medals will be awarded for 1st and 2nd Place Tournament winners. Ribbons will be given to 3rd and 4th Place winners.
If you have not done so already, please mail in your $100 tournament fee before the December 15 deadline. Thank you once again for choosing Miami Senior High.
