Dear Parents

School Uniform: In line with other local schools St Peter's school uniform willbe available to purchase at a local supplier - Top Marque 7APark Road Lytham St. Annes, FY8 1QXfrom Monday 19th December. Parents can buy uniform in store or order it online from the Top Marque website. It is hoped thatbeing able to purchase uniform from a shop and online will allow parents greater flexibility and access.

We are alsointroducing a new PE Kit for all pupils- this will be available to purchase from the end of January and consists ofshorts/skort and T-shirt plus sports socks. Additionally there is an option tobuy a joggy top and/or tracksuitbottoms.The PE kit will be phased in and pupils can continue to wear their original kit up until September.

We have a small stock of the old style knitwear and PE tops and shorts available to buy in school but will no longer stock the remainder of the uniform.

Advent Worship: This will be led by Years 3 and 4 and will be held in St Josephs Church tomorrow, Wednesday 14th December, beginning at 7pm. Refreshments will be served in the Church Hall after the service. Donations of mince pies would be welcomed.

Christmas Performances: Reception will be performing “A Miracle in Town” today at 6pm and Wednesday 14th at 9.15am. Years 1 and 2 will be performing “The Landlord’s Cat” at 9.15am and 6pm on Thursday 15th December.

Music Assembly: Tuesday 20th December at 2pm. Key Stage 2 pupils will lead a musical assembly. There will be performances from solo musicians and the school choir. Parents are welcome to join us for the assembly.

Pantomime: The whole school will be going to see the Pantomime Aladdin at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool next Wednesday 21st December. Permission slips and a contribution of £10 towards the cost remain outstanding for some families. Please return to school tomorrow.

Christmas Lunch: The childrens Christmas Lunch will be next Tuesday, 20th December. The meal is covered by the Infant Free School Meal Scheme for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and costs £2.20 for children in Years 3,4,5,6. If your child does not usually have a school lunch on Tuesday and would like the Christmas Lunch please complete the reply slip and return to school by Friday16th December.

Lunch Boxes: Please take care with the contents of lunch boxes. To avoid choking hazards, please cut grapes in half lengthwise and do not include any nuts including peanuts.

Breakfast Club: When school returns in January the cost of a morning at the Breakfast Club will rise to £3.50 per day.

Family Celebration of Light: Please see attached information about the joint St Peter’s and St Joseph’s Family Celebration of Light to be held on Friday 16th December from 5.30pm. Numbers attending are required by tomorrow morning. Please contact Sue Shakespeare on 07957201712 or call at the office if you would like to attend.

Lytham Advent Calender Hunt: There are 24 Angels in the windows of shops, cafes and businesses around Lytham. If you can find all 24 you will receive a prize. Entry forms are available at Park View café and need to be returned by Friday 16th December.

Lytham Walking Nativity: Saturday 17th December beginning at 4pm at Park Street Methodist Church.

Dinner Money: As the end of term approaches some families continue to owe dinner money. We would be grateful if all dinner money arrears could be paid up-to-date. Cheques payable to St Peters School Fund please.

Winmarleigh 2017: A reminder to the families of children in Year 6 that the next payment for the visit to Winmarleigh Hall is now due.

French and Spanish Tuition: Please could any outstanding payment for additional language tuition now be brought up to date. Cheques to Mrs L Rooney.

Swimarathon 2017

Next years annual Swimarathon will be held on Sunday 29th January.

If your child would like to take part, please fill in the reply slip or email .

I will also need team captains, so if any adults can spare an hour to help on the day, I would be most grateful.

This is a sponsored event, with next years charity being Brian House Childrens Hospice, however St Peters PTFA retain 20% of any sponsorship made.

Last year, the school raised just over £2000

It is a very worthwhile cause and lots of fun, so please come along and join in.
