School Profile - Due: with summative project on ______
Task: To create a one page profile on a post-secondary institution (college, university or career college) of your choice. The profile must be typewritten. Your design of the profile can vary. You may alter the template provided for the career profile, or create a brochure or a poster. The format you choose to present the information is your choice, as long as the information is there. The following should be included in your profile:
1. School Description: where it is, number of students, a few points of interest
2. Program Description: What programs are you interested in? How long is it? What are some of the courses you would take in this program?
3. Requirements: What are the entry requirements? (Courses, grades, other)
4. Financial Requirements: Tuition, other expected expenses? How can you/do you plan to pay for it?
5. Living Conditions: Where would you live? (at home, residence, apartment) What costs are involved?
6. Advantages: What do you like about this school?
7. Disadvantages: What do you not like about this school?
8. Other possibilities: What are some other possibilities you have in mind if you don’t get into this school/program?
9. Anything else of interest?
10. Summary: Final thoughts …
