What Have We Been Up To…..
The Neighbourhood Plan is still progressing well and the Steering Group meet on almost a twice monthly basis in order to prepare your Neighbourhood Plan.
We continue to look at the key aspect of housing development in the Parish that meets the needs and requirements of the community for the period 2011-2031, whilst taking into consideration the sustainability of any development.
We also continue to have support from Irchester Parish Council who formed the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group, as well as the expert advice provided by theBorough Council of Wellingborough.
Appointment of Consultant
Over the last few months we have been successful in obtaining a grant enabling us to appoint a Neighbourhood Plan Consultancy who have really helped with moving the Plan forward.
They have helped us confirm our timetable of work, carried out more detailed research into policies, helped obtain and prepare reports, engaged with landowners and stakeholders, and helped us understand more about the Neighbourhood Plan Process.
Consultation
By the time you have read this all households in the Parish of Irchester would have received a Stage 1 consultation document for us to seek your views about the direction forhousing growth in Irchester.
We realise that this is not an easy task for everyone to do but we will value your views to enable the Neighbourhood Plan to be a success in the way that it is shaped by the local community.
We will be analysing your returns to the Stage 1 consultation in June before going out for a Stage 2 consultation.
Timetable
We aim to submit the Neighbourhood Plan for consultation in the Autumn when residents will be able to express their views further. The final plan will then go before the Borough Council of Wellingborough before going before an Inspector and consequently a Parish Referendum which we are hoping to complete in the early part of 2013.
