Show Hunter Classes 2016 - Xmas Cracker Show

  • Show Hunter classes run under ESNZ Show Hunter Rules 2016, & SHNZ Equitation Series Conditions 2016
  • All riders jumping above 80cm must be members of ESNZ
  • Riders jumping 80cm or below may enter on a community membership
  • All horses/ponies may start in any class under the “flexi-start” system with the exception of Series Classes where horses/ponies must hold an annual jumping start registration
  • Horses with an annual start registration will gain HoYQ points in classes designated HoYQ
  • Rising Star Division and Young Horse Division:
  • Run over three shows – Labour Weekend, Xmas Cracker and Canterbury Champs.
  • Three classes qualify per show – under saddle and two jumping classes
  • Makerikeri Silviculture Ltd and Robyn and Paul Woods sponsor a rug and sash to winners of these points prizes
  • Amateur Championship:
  • Run over three shows – Labour Weekend, Xmas Cracker and Canterbury Champs.

  • Awarded to the rider with the most points in Equitation Classes over the three Canterbury Shows
  • The Irish Horse Society will award a sash to the highest placed Irish bred horse at this show. Irish horse owners must put their Irish Horse Society Registration number on their entry form. In the event of equality of points, the sash will go to the Irish horse with the best score.
  • There will be a points prize for the horse with the most points from the two Ashburton shows and the three Canterbury shows in the Junior Equitation Division.

SHOW CONDITIONS

  • Run under ESNZ rules and Show Jumping New Zealand Rules, for Series conditions Refer to Annex 11 (SJ Rule Book).
  • Prizes & Conditions for allSouth Island Series will be on the Canterbury Show Jumping website
  • Competitors and spectators attending this competition do so at their own risk. Show Jumping Canterbury and the organiser’s disclaim any and all liability in the event of accident to riders, horses, spectators or property.
  • All injuries and accidents anywhere on the grounds must be reported to the office.
  • Dress code: Formal required in R1 & R2, Minimum in R3
  • The Committee reserves the right to alter, amend or delete any class or prize money.
  • Prize money will be paid out on a ratio of 1:7
  • Manual entries must be made on official ESNZ entry forms and include horse & rider registration numbers.
  • Riders may compete in Introductory classes on a free Community Membership, but must still pay the ESNZ Jumping Levies per horse
  • Please refer to the “Registration guide” on the CSJ website for more information (schedules tab)
  • A fee of $2 per class will be made for class changes
  • Late entries: Plus 50%.
  • No refunds payable for entries received after closing date of entries.
  • Scratchings: to be advised by 8am each day for that day’s competition.
  • Refunds less 20% per horse/pony upon presentation of medical / veterinary certificate or at the discretion of the organising committee.
  • Hacks / Ponies may start in only ONE Championship class or Mini Prix or Grand Prix.
  • DOGS ON LEASHES AT ALL TIMES
  • The Show Jumping Canterbury Committee reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry
  • Coffee cart & food will be available on the grounds.
  • By entering or attending you accept that you may appear within differing media streams that are on location covering the event. Your behaviour at the event and within the competition arena is at your discretion and is your responsibility. Please note that there might be live streaming at the event therefore the camera is on throughout the day
  • It is the rider’s responsibility to clean up all hay and manure from their yards/covered yards/stables as well as from around their float/truck, which is to be placed in designated areas NOTaround trees. Any holes dug by horses MUST also be filled in. If a stable/covered yard is not sufficiently cleaned out you will not be able to use one at our next show.

WORLD JUMPING CHALLENGE (WJC)

  • FEI registration is not required for horse or rider, but there will be a horse inspection (trot up) with a presentation award.
  • This competition is for horse/rider combinations, it is NOT for ponies
  • SI riders may ride two horses, but the nominated horse must be declared and ridden first
  • Open to riders from the beginning of the year in which they reach their 15th birthday
  • ESNZ horse registration ID paper is required for all horses and must be available for the veterinary delegate at the horse inspection
  • All horses competing will be allocated a three digit horse ID number
  • All SI entries MUST provide assistance

There is a new EVENT WAIVER FORM, this can be found on our website. Manual entries must print, sign and send in with their entries.

Online entries will have a ‘tick box’ to select before entries can be completed.

CANTERBURY RIDERS MUST PRINT OFF AND SEND BACK THE CANTERBURY HELPERS FORM

If help is not offered towards running this show, your entries will be DECLINED. There will be a sign in and out procedure for all jobs.

$80 fine for those who do not complete their job.
